A Solivagant on the Inselberg

Holy shiz that's am..."
I care Hallie. You've got this, love

It doesn't really matter, though.
Lol Jingle!

I think I'm getting a report card soon so it's a similar time for me.
And sleeeep!

Aw I'm pretty sure you'll do fine!
It's Saturday! And I have 1 GB data everyday and I do want to use some of it.

Thanks! I'm actually very satisfied with the marks I have. I just find it funny because they are all extremely similar, but some of them were a walk in the park to get while I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into others. I guess that's school life for you!
Okay okay but this shouldn't be your everyday, Corvus suffered badly from sleeping 5 hours a night XD

Yay! Good job! Haha xD
Hey don't compare me to Corvus! I'm an insomniac, so lack of sleep happens a lot. Don't worry; it won't be for too long. I'll stop as soon as my data gets over xP

Doubts in Math
So, since I don't have school and hence nothing to say about Math class being crap, I'll talk about Math class yesterday.
Remember my new teacher? Well, she completed a chapter that my previous teacher started and began to teach a new lesson - Limits and Derivations - I think. She explained the same thing 3 times and yet we didn't understand. We finally lied that we understood so that she wouldn't have to repeat it again. Then she said, "If you have any doubts, ask me." I told my friends, "Wake me up when she's taking attendance," and lay my head on the desk, but ended up trying to listen to her. She moved to the problems and wrote an answer directly explaining the logic behind it. I don't know how, but I inadvertently understood the logic and continued to do the rest of the sum. However, most of my class didn't understand what she said including my friends. After asking her to explain five times, they got fed up and began to discuss. By then, I finished the sum. The teacher kept asking the answer to a certain part and I kept screaming my head off. I was literally sitting in Math class and screaming "X squared + 2!!!!" Me! The only who sucks and hates Math! My friends were patting me and I was fed up because she never heard my answer till what seemed forever. Then finally she finished the sum (I could have finished the whole Harry Potter series six times -_- ), and then my friends still had the doubt from before. So I tried to explain even though I suck at explaining things. And surprisingly, she understood and then told the same to the other friend. This teacher repeats again: "If you have any doubts, ask me, not your friends."
I'm looking forward for our performance in Math in the next test xD

Yay! Go..."
Oh I so know that feeling. It stinks. But don't blame yourself if you were sick. I think I might do badly on something I have coming up because I'm sick today, unless I stay home that day and take it the next. You should try to forgive yourself and if you're really wanting to get past those folks then you can study harder next time :)
I get what you mean because my school isn't like yours but in that way it is. A grade of A (90-100) isn't that hard to get if you study a bit and pay attention, so there's basically a permanent competition of sorts over who can get the highest As. It's funny because we don't shame anyone for having a bad test day and a lot of competitors are friends, but I do know that people are mentally comparing their scores as I do. Battle for perfection kind of. Maybe that explains how perfectionistic I am...
Thanks XD
Lol why I compare myself to him and neither of us are as messed up as him XD And he is kind of an insomniac too. But okay lol 😏

That was the case in my previous school as well. Every time the rank list was announced, these ten people would be on their tip-toes, cursing the person who secured the rank before their own xD Even then, we were all still friends, so even if my friend scored a little higher than me, I'd just shrug and say that I'd beat her the next time. And that time, she would come to me and say the same xP But that fight for being the best was still do intense that some of them resorted to cheating during the exams. That made students like my best friend not get what she actually deserved - the top. The others cheated their way above her while she worked hard to score a hair's breadth lesser than what they scored. That was pathetic. A friendly competition is fine, but that went a bit too far.
:D
Haha xD Yikes no! Please tell me that's not true! xP Alright that's the only thing we have in common (hopefully!)

Is it Taylor Swift singing? Or Allison Gold? xD Nothing can possibly be worse than mine!

No XD Although you're better than a lot of popular folks I have to say. But this just beats all: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I7D3bFC...
I wanted to annoy my friend with a song like that and I expected an eye roll reaction but as soon as we both heard the horrible intonation we cracked up and she was like "what is this? Where did you find this?" Might have been overly funny to us because we are string players who are very fussy about intonation but even my parents cracked up XD

Alia, I'll watch it as soon as I stop pretending to study xD I left my earphones in the other room. Now that sounds interesting 😏😏

Lol that would look cute! I want to cut it short and get side bangs, but everyone opposes it. My dad used to hate having to cut my hair; most of my relatives begin to cry when I trim it, but they live elsewhere and I'm NOT going back there for a long, long time. I'm trying to persuade my mum to let me. It's wavy and a lot longer than I want it to be.

I'm sick too with a cold aaagghhh 😑😑😑😑"
I keep sneezing."
Same here :/

I feel you there too. If you have nothing but negative motivation to study you really don't want to at all :/ And that's not messed up! If anything, that's how it should be. My competitive view is what's messed up.
Haha lol XD We don't do that with exams too often but we do it with this really fun and competitive review game that we sometimes do before exams. I was the solid second placer in one class where we did it often until one day I got first and just kept running with it XD This year is different. The first time we did it I held on to first but the second time I made stupid mistakes and dropped down to 8th :/ But there was no better score I could have asked for on the actual exam, so I'm not complaining XD
(I really hope this isn't making anyone feel bad.. Sorry I'm this way but no matter what your grades you all are awesome!)
Oh I'm so sorry to hear! :( Cheating is the worst :( I've not seen it this year but my teachers have in their other classes. And when someone told me there was cheating at my future school (now my current school) I said I'd never do it and I was sure they didn't either because they were a good student. Then they said they actually did and I was pretty shocked :/ Just be sure to keep encouraging her and telling her she does deserve the top. Also, if you know who cheated and you see it again, don't be afraid to team up with her and covertly report them. Cheaters shouldn't prosper at all.
Lol stop hating on my character XD jk

That seems more friendly to me than what we did. Correct me if I'm wrong; I just get the feeling that if we did it the same way, we'd have lesser animosity during that particular interval of time. I knew you were at the top! :D Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, so we could let that slip by :) (Yep! Grades don't define anyone!)
It's kind of shocking, isn't it? You think someone would is actually good and then discover that they cheated. The topper at my previous school once got full marks in every single subject, and even though we know she's a good student and is indeed intelligent, it was kind of hard to sit still and listen to all the teachers praise her when we know she would have lost about 2-3 marks if not for her friends. I always do. All my friends do. Once she and I got the same marks but stood third and one of my friends said that we deserved the first because the others who got the first and second would have definitely not been there if they hadn't cheated. I tried reporting a couple of times, but the teachers had a confusion when it came to believing the sides - both the cheaters and I are favourites.
Haha I don't hate him! xD I just don't want to be like him because he seems to attract way more attention than I'd ever be comfortable with.
