Oh please! I've been breaking school rules since when I was 11! Who the heck are these people to not do those when they are also responsible?

All schools should be telling their students though! Those are subjects that are taken lives everyday and there’s nothing we can do about it be help those affected.

I'm not trying to imply that schools shouldn't tell that, but my school just puts it the wrong way. And if anyone feels like they should get involved in it, it's because of the environment in school.

Today sucked and I had to hold back tears for way too long, and ugh I kept falling to my sides whenever I walk. My mum thinks my head is messed up or my blood pressure is low as an explanation for losing balance so often, but if it's the latter, I'm going to blame it on her because it's fun :D

Yep! My school doesn't do that. The teachers say 'Don't be stressed' and give us a bunch of tests on the same day and add that there is no such thing as depression.

Nobody's debating that depression is serious, but by making it "too important" to be laughed at you're essentially protecting the status of the enemy. If I were bordering on insulting one of your personal attributes, sure, I'd expect a few "not cool"s at the very least; in fact, it seems to me like people from this generation treat depression as one of their defining factors. This isn't to say that they don't have it in some way, shape or form, but seeing people naturally take a defensive stance against someone making a joke of depression, (not depressed people - whom I actually complimented - but depression itself), would infer that they are in fact relying on the seriousness of the depression itself so that they may be taken seriously. You have nothing to prove to your friends, and venting isn't by any means wrong, but to protect the hand that strikes you definitely makes it seem like you're dependent upon it.
