I was that way when I first started it. But, after the first chapter or two, you'll start cruising along.

Just read the gross scene at the beginning where he's trying to first draw secrrets from the dead - ew.

A very good character. I loved the scene where he discovered more than he bargained for when he attempted to help "rescue" the inhabitant of the bombed estate during WWII.

I thought that was a very original scene. He did "rescue" him, though...

I love his character. His ability to extract the expertise and information from the dead to take care of his step-father was great!

I am confused by the end though

Yes I loved their interactions, one of the best things about the book."
Still reading. Is everyone else finished?
I'm not yet Katy. I have maybe 100 or so pages left but this is going to be a busy week like last week was so I doubt I'll have time to read any until the weekend.
to be honest, I'm not liking it as much as I thought I would. I want to know about the vampire in the ground or more about Giresci's research. the whole government, spy espionage stuff isn't my cup of tea. I'd love to read more about the people Harry can call upon.

This book is unlike any I have read. Cold war politics, vampires, and aliens, oh my!
I think I'm at 67%.

If you don't like the cold war stuff, the Invaders, Defilers, Avengers books I doubt will be your cup of tea as they're marketed as the E-Branch trilogy. I haven't read them, but based on the marketing, it'll probably be espionage stuff.

I just finished the book and I still feel the same about it. Harry's abilities were awesome and I did like Dragosani in the beginning. I don't think I'll read the others in the series but I'm glad I finally read this one.

I have 3 and 5 in the series, (or else 3 and 4, will have to doublecheck). Will read the next out of curiosity, heard the third is good
So far have read very little and havent' met Harry yet, but the writers style has grown on me more. The first page or two was rough for some reason, guess I have a lazy brain on Mondays.
