Here are some AVA Events happening this month. Let's celebrate them by reading some books.!

Rules:
1. Choose to read 1 to 6 events --- Your choice. :D
2. Celebrate an event by completing one of the tasks listed with each event.
3.. All books must be 100 pages or more. Any format is acceptable. Re-reads are allowed as long as you actually read the book. No skimming!
4. Don't start reading till June 1.
5. List book with author's name and add the date you completed it. Your rating is optional.

* Read a book that has a word with "ing" in the title. -OR- *Read a book with one of the following words: golf, farm, play, fireworks, or stars in the title.
Example: Speaking from Among the Bones - Animal Farm

4. Event: Secret City Historic
City: Oak Ridge, TN - Date: YRW

* Read a book with the word "Secret" in the title. -OR- * Read a book that the author's first and last initials are in the words "ATOMIC BOMB".
Example: The Husband's Secret - Tom Clancy's The Hunt For Red October

* Read a book that the title starts with "D" or "P" (exclude A, An, The). -OR- * Read a book that the title contains a word with a double consonant.

* Read a book set in Texas. -OR- Read a book whose author's first or last name starts with "J".

This is a reading challenge. Our way of celebrating each event is by completing one of the tasks listed with the event. (I should put that in the rules!)
I hope you plan on picking some events and "Have fun reading"! :D

Hi Joy and all-- for the mini challenge, you do not need to attend the actual events to participate in the reading challenge. The challenge is set to highlight communities where interesting walks are occurring this June...via a good book. You can choose any 1 or all of the 6 challenge options. Attending the real event(s) would just be icing on the cake. :)
