Congratulations on completing part 2. I'm desperate to get that part done.

I bought a volume of Daniel Defoe books (I think there are five of them). It has been 50 years since I read the first one. Did you know that there is another book about Robinson Crusoe?
The Further Adventures of Robinson Crusoe - in which RC goes back to island, gets Friday, sails to China, travels over the Russian steppes and into Siberia.

The Pitcher Shower, Donald Harington 26 Aug

Every other book that I noticed with the word "shower" in it didn't appeal to me...about baby showers or wedding showers. I was tickled pink to find this title AND love the play on words as well.
I actually was unaware of this book's position in a series. As I read, I realized that I have read something about the town of Stay More before. Sure enough I read the first in the series, Lightning Bug.
Fortunately The Pitcher Shower takes you out of town, so that it easily reads as a stand alone.
Now, I need to get back to book #2 in the series!☻

Wow! I didn't notice that.
I need a truck book BUT I think I'll stick with SHOWER.

✔27/50 Task 26. Do you prefer a car or truck? Truck
Read a book with your selection on the cover or in the title.

That seems pretty far away at this point!☻

Well I had to do this as part of my personal challenge to read one book from each of the band members of the Rock Bottom Remainders, peopled by authors and other bookish types, like Stephen King, Ridley Pearson, Amy Tan, Al(ice) Kooper, Mitch Albom, Barbara Kingsolver, Dave Barry, Greg Iles, Scott Turow, and others, including Cynthia Heimel.

Elmore Leonard is one of my favorite authors. He was a local Michigan author. Unfortunately he died in 2013, so once I catch up on his oeuvre, I'll notice the loss!
I found a couple more books that I had not reported. So I've narrowed it down to nine. Just ordered them all. Gotta try!☺
