Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 11463 comments ✔26/50 Task 23. Do you prefer a shower or bath? Scalding hot shower – On my TBR since May 2011. Title has absolutely nothing to do with watery showers...still that's how the title is spelled. It is really about a person who "shows" motion "pictures".

The Pitcher Shower, Donald Harington 26 Aug

message 75: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments What a great find for "shower", Almeta. I may have discounted it because it was #11 of a series. The story line does sound compelling though. The link is like "having fun with words"!

Every other book that I noticed with the word "shower" in it didn't appeal to me...about baby showers or wedding showers. I was tickled pink to find this title AND love the play on words as well.

I actually was unaware of this book's position in a series. As I read, I realized that I have read something about the town of Stay More before. Sure enough I read the first in the series, Lightning Bug.

Fortunately The Pitcher Shower takes you out of town, so that it easily reads as a stand alone.

Now, I need to get back to book #2 in the series!☻

Elmore Leonard is one of my favorite authors. He was a local Michigan author. Unfortunately he died in 2013, so once I catch up on his oeuvre, I'll notice the loss!

I found a couple more books that I had not reported. So I've narrowed it down to nine. Just ordered them all. Gotta try!☺
