A girl's mother is the town's healer and is accused of being a witch. The mother is taken and the girl escapes to the woods. She finds and secret elf society and lives with them. She grows and realizes she has some magical powers. A knight is sent to hunt her down but falls in love with her. As the elves society is close to being compromised. She uses her magic to open up a magical portal where they all escape. Unfortunately she can't hold it open long and some elves are left behind.
