I'm gonna to watch it, and I recommend watching fate zero and fate stay night(these are the central main story), then you could watch the other series, like fate apocrypha and fate extra last encore(side stories) and fate grand order(the movies based off the moblie game app), and if you're into loli stuff, fate prisma illya(loli holy grail war).

You don't if you don't like watching all your favorite characters die.

I learned that the hard way.

Fate has three routes:

Fate.
Unlimited Blade Works.
Heavens Feel.

Each route focuses on three girls who get a chance to be with the main character, Shirou.

Fate – Saber.
Unlimited Blade Works – Rin.
Heavens Feel – Sakura.

I would avoid watching the first route, mainly because I hate it, but it's your choice.

Fate Zero is the prequel and you can either watch it first or second, but you should watch it first.

After Fate Zero, you can watch Fate(skip this one), then Unlimited Blade Works, and then Heavens Feel, which is an ongoing three-part movie.

Fate Zero and Fate Stay Night are the main stories.

Fate Apocrapha, Fate Last Encore, Fate Prisma Illya, Today's Menu for Emiya Family are the side stories that you should watch after the main series.

Fate is really complicated, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask me :)

Fate Zero first. When you finish that, then watch those three.

Here's the order:

First: Fate Zero.

Second: Fate.

Third: Unlimited Blade Works.

Fourth: Heavens Feel.
