I see. Good luck to you, then. Hope it goes well. :)"

yep! I think it was awesome!!! XD

Dija I just started reading Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead

@Jenny: I thought the cover to SB was amazing too. Even though it's not confirmed, I still think the guy's Dimitri and he looks like I thought he would. <333

message 103: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) I'm reading Midnight Alley by Rachel Caine ! I love the way she writes ! :)

message 104: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) @ Katie: Oh really? Well, I like this one so far.. but it's not as fast-paced as the first two. There's still enough going on that I'm intrigued.. :)

message 105: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) oh.. probably lol. have you read all the books in this series? how many is there anyways..?

message 106: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) ohh okay! i'm so excited to read the next ones.. i just love rachel caine's style ! :)

message 107: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) yeah. it's true. lol, i can't decide who is my favorite between michael and shane.. they're both super amazing.

message 108: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie RM (mackenzierm) true true, i dunno, i do like shane better but it depends lol.

message 109: by Carrie (Care) (new)

Carrie (Care) (care76) Mmmmmmmm, Shane...

Ok, so besides thinking of Shane, I am reading The Van Alen Legacy (Blue Bloods, #4) by Melissa de la Cruz .

message 110: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jentimonera) | 16 comments @lazuline: really, how is Succubus Blues? was it good?

message 111: by Dija (new)

Dija @Jenny: I think you'll like it, since you love VA so much. It's a lot like VA in some ways. Georgina, the main character, is like an older version of Rose, etc. Do you plan on reading it? Have you read any other series by Richelle Mead?

~♡Katie♡~ wrote: are you liking succubus blues am hoping to have this soon "

It was OK. A good and enjoyable read, but not one of those must-read-asap ones. But that's a matter of opinion; I say you go for it and decide for yourself whether or not you like it.

message 112: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jentimonera) | 16 comments @Lazuline: Do you think its better than the VA series? :-) I found it's cover..kind of weird but i don't want to judge the book by its cover..:-)

message 113: by Dija (last edited Nov 19, 2009 08:50PM) (new)

Dija Oh, no, definitely not. VA is still my favorite. Few characters beat my love for Dimitri and Rose and the characters in Succubus Blues definitely weren't them. I thought the cover was pretty nice though. Kind of drew me in. You should give the book a try; it's a pretty good read. Just not as good as VA. XD

message 114: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jentimonera) | 16 comments okay! I'll give it a try...:-)
yesterday i ran into a book store and saw shadowland, the 3rd book of the immortals series. Idk why people likes the series so much...
what is that book you are telling that beat your love for Rose and Dimitri?

message 115: by Dija (last edited Nov 20, 2009 12:00PM) (new)

Dija Currently reading Liar by Justine Larbalestier

@Jenny: Maybe it's just like all those other series. Most series tend to have a wide fan range, mostly because of the whole anticipation of what will happen next and fighting debating over who's better and what went wrong, etc. It makes people want to read and find out what happens next, even if they don't like the books. Might as well finish what you started, that sort of thing, you know? *shrugs*

"Beat" was a bad adjective choice on my part. "Match" is a better term. I love love love Fang and Max from Maximum Ride, Diana and Henry from The Luxe, Arya from the Inheritance Cycle, and Cabel from the Wake Trilogy.

So have you finished Blood Promise yet? What did you think of it?

message 116: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jentimonera) | 16 comments @ Lazuline: That's pretty much I could say. I copy paste it from my review. You can find it on my profile..:-)

When I read Vampire Academy #1, I was very reluctant to decide if this series would finally be my favorite..I mean, really favorite. But after reading Blood Promise...well, I think I could definitely say, This is my favorite series!! I beats twilight, Mortal Instruments, and even Hunger Games. I think the first quarter was a bit boring but when I read the page, I think its 182? *looks in the book to check*..i can't really remember, there was a part where I really laughed out loud. Then, when I was in the first quarter of the book, I was thinking, "Why do people keep say Adrian is really nice? I still don't like him, I wont like him.", not anymore, I think otherwise. he's really nice and I really thought he really was falling for Avery! Though when Avery was using compulsion on Lissa, I was like, See? I knew you're really selfish. Well, now I don't think that way anymore. I like her already. Because maybe some meanness in her came from Avery's compulsion.
The following lines, I have written it when I reached page 282:

I love reading this book so much! I really liked the development on adrian's character though Rose didn't made me laugh the way she used to. i still hated Lissa for being selfish! I often held my breath--literally. This book is just so dang exciting! Then I reached page 282. I. Did. Not. See. That. Coming!!!!! It literally stopped my breathing. I think and paused and kicked my feet a few times, wanting to cry and throw a fit. I can't goon reading because I am surprised, sad, and mad all at the same time. Mead must make some miracle. She should! I want Dimitri back!! *whines* I thought I liked Adrian enough for him to replace Dimitri until he showed up!! AGAIN! "Rosa, You forgot my first lesson. Don't hesitate"
No!!!!!! Every time I would read Dimitri's name, I can't continue to read on the next words. Its so hard to read him as a bad character

wow. that's quite long and I still felt the same aside from some few points.
1.) I don't hate Lissa anymore.
2.) After a few more chapters, I realized, I don't want Dimitri anymore. But after seeing his good side again when he touched the ring.. oh God, I'm confused. And then it came!! The miracle! There must be a way I knew it! Rose, find Roberto! You have to!
3.) I think Adrian is nice but I don't think he's the really one for Lissa.
4.) I am quite certain, Dimitri will be back. Or else...i don't know anymore! I even thought that Dimitri would die, I might hate that ending, though I'm not sure about that.
5.) Before, I hoped Dimitri should have died. Well, not anymore! Yehey! Risa will hunt Roberto down! She better finds him soon!!

Cindy | 61 comments Just finished Shadowland (The Immortals, #3) by Alyson Noel , going to start on [image error]

message 118: by Dija (last edited Nov 22, 2009 06:59PM) (new)

Dija @Jenny: Wow, that's quite the review. XD I agree with most of what you said. Whenever the book was a little slow for me, I would scan the few pages ahead until I came across Dimitri's name and read a few lines and than read from where I left off. VA is simply amazing. I love it so so much. I have a new love for Russain accents and people and culture. XD

@All the people who are reading/have read Shadowland: What did you think of it? Is it good, worth checking out?

message 119: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jentimonera) | 16 comments @Lazuline:
haha..ik! XD
I just wish the 5th book would come out sooner!!

message 120: by Dija (new)

Dija I see. I think I'll give it a try someday, but I have higher priorities, like the Dark Swan series, the Night Huntress series, etc. :)

message 121: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jentimonera) | 16 comments @ Lazuline:
How are those books? I'm thinking of what to read next. Do you have any suggestions?

message 122: by Dija (new)

Dija I've been reading tons of threads from the Paranormal Romance club and there seem to be so many amazing books out there just like the type I love. The Dark Swan series is by Richelle Mead and is nearly as popular, if not more than, the Vampire Academy books. I've heard tons of good things about the Night Huntress books and will be starting them as soon as I get the chance, i.e. as soon as I settle down in the country I'll be moving to soon.

But I won't recommend the above since I haven't read them myself. Have you read Maximum Ride, The Luxe, Thirteen Reasons Why, and The Princess Bride? Those are some of my most favorite books. I'll send you a PM about the books I like and would recommend in detail later. ;)

message 123: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jentimonera) | 16 comments The Princess Bride is on my to-read list but right now, I ordered a princess academy..have you read that?I'll check out your suggestions! :-D

message 124: by Dija (new)

Dija Yep, I've read Princess Academy and didn't really like it all that much. It was good, but not great. The ending left me unsatisfied. >_>

message 125: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jentimonera) | 16 comments oh, is that so..aww.. well, I'll try those books ou recommended..:)

message 126: by Dija (new)

Dija You do that. And don't be too disheartened about PA - I read it ages ago and my tastes have changed tons since then, so I would probably like it a lot better if I were to read it now.
