The rating doesn't count, though, and it doesn't increase the number of reviews on the main site either. This is why we have this in bold in the pool rules: "If you are not able to post the review on amazon.com, you need to let us know! The author will decide if he or she is okay with a review elsewhere. If they do not accept a review elsewhere, and you are not able to post your review on amazon.com, then we will not be able to credit you for that review!"

The author needs to agree to the review being elsewhere--this should happen before you even ask for the book, or at the very least, stated in the post where you request the book, so the author can decline if they are not okay with it. :(

I figured a review on an amazon site is a review, but hey that's me.

If K. T. doesn't want to consider my review as valid because it's not on the .com site that's fine by me. I mean it's not like a review by someone who has over 500 reviews on Goodreads is worth less than a review by someone who has reviewed 10 items in their life on amazon.com.

Feel free to remove my book from the pool, or my messages in the forums.

Don't worry about it, Lynxie. I'm fine with everything standing as is. You did the work, you can get the credit. It's just a good reminder of the rules for everyone. :)

Next time, though, please let everyone know in advance if you are not able to post a review on amazon.com. Most authors are not interested in reviews elsewhere, they want the reviews on amazon.com.
