Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments Your welcome =] Ooh Tejas Janet, I'd love one of those right now =P

Oh and if you do manage to read another during the toppler, if you could read the College - read a book with drinking in it, we only have 2 more: read a horror and read a book with a big party and then we can move onto another sheet.

And I'll bump up the extra books (the original 5 points) that are down for 3 points onto the 3rd LIFE.

Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments I'm going to take horror, so we only have 2 book slots left to fill for sheet 2.

If you're taking horror then doesn't that just leave 1 slot, the party one???

Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments Lynn wrote: "

The College one 3 points - drinking in it still hasn't been filled. Tejas Janet has a book for that, but not sure if she'll be able to do it. We'll know once we're doing the toppler.

So unless anyone else wants to fill that one on sheet 2 as well as the party one? Then we can move onto Sheet 3 =P

message 310: by Lynn (new)

Lynn | 2987 comments Ooohhhhh right! :)

message 311: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (marnie19) | 3306 comments This is where wheeling and dealing comes in. I am definitely reading Pride and Prejudice which has a party in it ( I believe they meet at a ball. If you switch me to party ( I haven't read the book so those that have correct me if I'm wrong) and it might be easier to fill my Buy A House spot- which is what Pride and P is filling now ( takes place in a house).

Just an idea- am definitely NOT trying to make this more complicated

message 312: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments Those cakes are adorable - I might have to make something like that!

message 313: by Lynn (new)

Lynn | 2987 comments Marnie - I think it would definitely class as read a book with a party.

message 314: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments Hmm, either way we'd still need one for takes place in a house, and seeing as that get's us 5 points. I'd leave it where it is for now. Unless someone does want 'Takes place in a family residence' then you could take the party. We'll ahve to wait and see I think.

message 323: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (caveatlector) | 1801 comments Definitely, we are completely organized. Nothing left to say. :)

I am trying to figure out if I can somehow read more that 7 books though, would have been better if the toppler was a week later but I'm gonna try anyway!

message 326: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (caveatlector) | 1801 comments I read The Joy Luck Club for the last week long Toppler, it was fantastic.

message 327: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments It has been quiet but we're all set and know what we're doing which is great! Look at all you going for their 8th books! Why not if you can manage it. I don't know how you do it. I'm jealous ;-)

message 328: by Sarah (last edited May 31, 2014 09:48AM) (new)

Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments Ooh my, some of you want an 8th book, wowza! I'm trying to find a 5th book at the moment that's relatively small. I picked up Carrie at the library and I didn't realise it would be quite a thin book. So looking for an extra =D

message 329: by Peggy (new)

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments 8 books! That's so impressive. I think I couldn't even manage that with a whole week off.

Haven't checked in here for a while, was very busy with work, but I see it's going great :D

With a whole week off and a competition to spur me on.....I could read a ridiculous amount of books!! :)

message 332: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments ****IMPORTANT****

I never realized how hard it would be for the Have a Baby tasks. Would anyone mind if I made them easier? How about this:

Have a Baby
5 - A character gives birth, doesn't have to be the main character, but it must be described or talked about in some way.

3 - A main character has a child under 4 years of age.

message 338: by Elsbeth (new)

Elsbeth (elsbethgm) | 1152 comments Hi everyone,
Since there are more people willing to read a book with a character under 13, I've decided to make space and switch to 'big party' (since that was not taken, yet), okay?

So I'll read:
*3 – read a book with a big party - Rich Boys
*3 – read a book with a single family house, condo or apartment building on the cover – Remember the Moon by Abigail Carter
*5 – read a book where someone makes a fresh start – De toneelclub

Maybe now we'll be able to fill sheet 2 as well!

message 339: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Oh, I can't help myself buzzing in and looking at your books you are all reading. I just added another to my sagging shelf.

message 340: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments Oooh! What was that Cherie?

message 341: by Sarah (last edited Jun 02, 2014 08:42AM) (new)

Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments Okie dokie, so we are technially on Sheet 3. I've left Tejas Janet on 'read a book with drinking on it' as a possible 4th book for her and Elsbeth has decided to help us out and fill in the 'big party' whoop. Thanks so much Elsbeth =]

So now Helen you were on Sheet 2, I moved 2 of yours down onto sheet 3 (exotic pet and ver 60) but now your going to get 5 points instead of 3 =D

Melissa I'm moved you from Sheet 1 (war/conflict) to Sheet 3 and well as fantasy. And I've moved you up to 5 points for under 13 (on sheet 2).

I think it's important that we read the books on sheet 1 first before moving onto the other sheets like Sarah said. Of course the people that don't have any books on sheet 1 would read theirs from sheet 2.

So here is the new update: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Ap...

message 342: by Jkmays (new)

Jkmays I have just decided I need to read Anne of Green Gables because we are going to that area on vacation in a few weeks. I will try to fit it in next week as well. Does anyone know what category it might fit under that we need? I am thinking Childhood, College, Buy a House, Lose your Job (COlor in title), get remarried (fresh start), and of course lottery.

message 343: by Sarah (last edited Jun 02, 2014 05:14AM) (new)

Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments It would fit under all of those yes =] So it's really up to you where you want to place it? We have a whole new sheet available now so take your pick =]

A lot of people had ideas for Childhood, so maybe if you want to get us 5 more points, I'd say placed in either Fresh Start or place of residence would be good

message 344: by Helen (new)

Helen Southall (hsouthall) | 181 comments Sarah - the book I am reading for war Yellow Star is slated as an extra on sheet 2 for three points.

It also qualifies as a child under 13 since the main character is 5 1/2 at the beginning of the war. If you move it to sheet 3, this would make it a five-pointer without impacting the required books for sheet 2.

Your call, just a thought. Great job on the charts by the way - kudos.

message 345: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments Ooh thank you Helen =] Yes I'll pop you there instead then, that's great!

message 346: by June (new)

June | 159 comments Sarah,

if we're on the third sheet could I take an 8 book for fresh start? I want to read thr joy luck club.

message 347: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments Technically we're not on the third sheet yet as we're waiting to fill out College - 3 points: read a book with drinking in. Tejas Janet may be able to read this, but we're not sure yet, So during the toppler we'll need a back up just incase, or else everything for 5 points on sheet 3 will be worth 3 points instead.

But yes, June, I'll pop you under fresh start and JKmays I've put you under Buy A House.

message 348: by June (new)

June | 159 comments Thank you. I think we'll get to the last sheet. last time we were getting fresh recruits a few days in :) I believe in our team. I'm very glad we have you for planning.

You're welcome, Sarah! I wanted to find another book as the one I had planned, so I thought I'd try to fit one of the empty spaced. I'm so glad I found one (wasn't easy)!
The sheets really look great! I'm very excited about my first Toppler!
