Team C AKA Chattering Book Addicts Crushes The Competition
I'm over halfway through Riding in Cars with Boys: Confessions of a Bad Girl Who Makes Good The book store closed so I'll be back there to finish it. ;)I'm going to start Allegiant tonight, it should be a quick read.
Sarah wrote: "Thanks Helen. I'll pop you in in the chart tomoz as I'm on my phone at the moment.Lillisa I'll let you know where I place you tomoz =]
Hmm. Just finished Carrie by Stephen King, that's the secon..."

Hah, that's the one I'm thinking of reading for one word title =D hehe. Are you reading it for Dystopian or one word?
Okie Dokie, So Marnie I've poppod you in, Lilisa your in the lottery for 5 points and Helen's Lottery book is in for 3.

Woop =DA little less reading today, as I'm planning a new workout calendar for when I go away this weekend and cleaning-(booo).
I'll carry on this evening =]
I think I might actually get more reading done now that I'm back at work, what an inconvenient weekend to be busy!! Though I did have a blast out golfing with my co-workers. Thank God we were in teams and we only had to use a couple of my dreadful shots!!
*******Sarah Jigz***********Please see message 44-45 on reporting thread.
4 books on a busy weekend! I wish I could read as fast as you Dawn.
That is fine Marnie, and a very good idea =D Dawn I'll put you in LIFE 1 for takes place in a residence, and I've moved Marnie from there to a book with a party LIFE 3.
I have reunion, but I'm thinking of changing it anyway, and instead reading something else =D So Dawn you can have my spot on LIFE 3 - reunion 5 points.
Update: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Ap...
Awesome, that worked out well considering I just randomly picked them out. Mostly because they were fast and short! :)I'll try and fit anymore extras into some 5 point slots on sheet 3.
Sarah- the amazing Dawn has added another book for you to slot.Finished my next audiobook. Crooked House
Another extra, which can be used on sheet 3 for 'Turn 16 - where a car or driving plays a part', a nice empty 5 pointer.
Though it would also work for 'Buy a house - residence or residence on cover' and 'Get remarried - fresh start'
I am going to tentatively score it in turn 16 - life 3 for 5 points but can move it if you want it in a different spot.
The Chattering Book Addicts have gone quiet except for the very loud sound of all those books being read. Almost everyone has checked in with a completed read unless they are on a fabulous vacay or knee deep into their book.We are doing great and hopefully reading lots of great books.
Good but not wonderful. A slow kinda sweet story. Nothing dramatic. I'll have to try The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and see if she writes a better long story.
Alright, I'm home and heading off to find some food and read my next book, Geist. See ya in 5 or 6 hours! :)
Just reported my 5th completed book. Looks like I should be able to at least get on to a 8th book. I will take a look at the grid tomorrow when I'm on my laptop rather than the Kindle
Lynn you are amazing!. I just upped my total to 6 books which is the most I have ever read in a Toppler!
Just checking on a couple readers.Angie how are your books going? No worries if you have your nose in your books- that is the point of these Topplers. Could you give a little check in so I know things are ok?
Kirila - I see you have started your book- are you liking it?
The vacay girls- we will hear from when they get back. Can't wait to hear about their adventures!
Everyone else has reported a book (or 6-7 books :) to bring us to 144 points so far. We are doing great and lots of time left to read.
Sarah, I read Allegiant for one word because I have The Handmaid's Tale for dystopian. I'm only about 40 pages in so fat but its ranking first out of my toppler reads so far. I know not as many people like Allegiant, but I did. It has themes that are more typical of adult dystopian rather than young adult.
I'm going to sneak back to the bookstore again tomorrow while hubby's at work to finish the other half of Riding in Cars with Boys. And pick up my 5 point wedding book. I think hubby wants to do something for my birthday (and his cause we're 2 days apart) I want to get some toppling done earlier.
Done with the romance (in Reporting thread Marnie) and I'm 30 percent through The Arrow Catcher for Lottery. Reading madly between sleep!

Ooh okie dokie =] I really want to read 'The Handmaid's Tale' I hope you enjoy it =] I son't think I've really read an adult dystopian.. lol I'll get there soon. hehe
Sarah - I am going to be driving a lot over the next few days. Found an audio book that I had already loaded into iTunes some time ago Carrie and Me: A Mother-Daughter Love Story
works great for Have a Baby - mother gives birth - (5 points) - starts off with labor and birth of daughter. Also gives us another 5-pointer for sheet 3.
So sign me up for one more - I may topple before the week is over.
Also A Handmaid's Tale is terrific. Enjoy
I'm back! Way too tired to read everything that has been posted, but 36 books read already, that's awesome!I got around to reading one chapter at the festival, but I'll have no problem finishing the rest of my book this week :)
It was great! I stayed mostly dry, but our tent was not so lucky and had some small leaks. No major damage though, fortunately :)
Just to let you know, my 5 pt. lottery book for List 1 is an audio book, and that will not be done until about Friday. But fear not, I am working on it and it will get done. That's my car book, so it goes slower.

I loved TToWH! I think you will like it too.
We are having a great day and thanks to everyone we are at 179 points.Angie- I recorded your book Father Found in life 2 - Having a baby but there are many different books with that title. Can you give me the author so I can put the right book down. Thank you also for starting over. The time zones have caused many people to start early/ late- you were definitely not the first.
Tomorrow I will be sitting with a friend at the hospital all day( nbd) so I will not be updating the scores until I get home. I will have many hours to read so I might be able to add a 7th book- fingers crossed.
Just a quick check in to say i finished up my (not so) fab vacation, and got that posted to our reporting thread. I' m about half way thru my lose job/get new occupation book. Expect to finish it tonight. I think my next 3 books will be pretty quick reads so i think it looks like i'm on track for the books i' m signed up for.LooKs like we're racking up the points... great job team and keep up the good work!

Marnie, how does Crooked House fit Turn 16 - car/driving?
Other than a fair amount of driving to and from London that occurs in the story.....the car and driving it is a vital point at the end of the story. This may ruin the mystery, so don't read it if you want to read the book (view spoiler)If this isn't enough, I did give a couple other options for this one I think??
Sarah,I finished and reported The Handmaid's Tale. It was really awesome. Just make sure you read the historical notes at the back when you read through.
Peggy,
Welcome back. :) And what's a festival if it doesn't rain, right?
Ah, when I looked yesterday I was convinced that 'read a book where a car or driving plays a part' so had started The Art of Racing in the Rain for it, as I wanted to try and get us a 5 point read. Ah well, I'll have to take the 'read a book about a dog' slot :)
Should be finished by the end of today but I do have a busy one so it may be tomorrow.
Lynn- I enjoyed that book and hope you do too.Dawn- thanks for clearing things up with Jaxnmom- though I did not read your spoiler :)
Hmm I just had a look and all is going well, but I did notice that Helen and Marnie you both read the same book for the exotic pet, I know it's allowed but I think if it's an orignal 5 pointer the second time it's read I think it counts for 3 points. If it was a 3 point book originally it would get 3 points for the second time read. I'm just going to ahve a quick look at the rules, but I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere..

Hmm. Just finished Carrie by Stephen King, that's the second book I've read if his. He's a really good write but not sure I like the stories much. I'll have to try another, I have The shining on my list for October. Hope I enjoy that one more and actually get scared lol.
