Hello Ruchi! Awesome! This should be fun. Any books that interest you; I think toss out some ideas then we can select one that interests us both?
horror, sci-fi, fantasy, non-fiction (bios and histories), classics are just a few.I'm not into chick lit or huge on romance.
Any of those are good? Any books that you want to read in those genres? I have huge lists to read :)
These ones caught my eye:
Mary Tudor: Princess, Bastard, Queen
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Cleopatra: A Life
Cinder

I'll just go through the net and see if I can get a pdf/ebook....if not, then can we read Cinder?
Yeah, Cinder is a good pick too. Yeah I saw Cleopatra at the online library. They have Cinder there too. Both are good with me.
Sorry, it's my local library that does it. It's Washington Anytime Library, but you have to have an active library card from one of the participating libraries, overdrive. We could do both books. I don't mind.
okay, are there books that you have, we can read? I might be able to find them at my library for a copy for me.
we can also pick out a book from open library. Just sign up and you can read books online and through kindle.

Okay, sorry, I had to sleep. I'm all for Cleopatra. Awesome that you found it! Do you have Cider as well?
I don't have Cinder but can get my hands on a copy from my library. If you like we may do both or just one. I will leave that up to you. :) This should be a lot of fun.
Yes! It'll be a lot of fun:))
Okay...we can start with Cleopatra, then if we have time, we can go ahead with Cinder...

I can start anytime however, this weekend is dedicated to my other books. However I can squeeze in a chapter day. Or we can start next Saturday. I have a lot of leeway. Today is finish Assassin's Apprentice Day. I'm half way thought it. (I can squeeze in a chapter today). Haven't been able to read as much as it as I wanted this week. Work got in the way and same with my social life. LOL. It's been festivals and conventions these last two weeks. All week I have been looking forward to this weekend, so I may have me time to read, read, read.
@Rachel : I'm so sorry but I can't start tomorrow:( I'm stuck in the middle of another book....I'll complete it by Monday. Is it okay if we start by Monday?? Sorry again:(
Yeah that's fine, I'm flexible. (I was going to ask if we could start tonight, lol) It's okay I'm just excited. I have many books to read as well. Monday it is, unless it take you longer. Just keep me posted. Also, is there a reading schedule you'd like to have in place?
I'm going to finish up a book and start our book. I don't need a schedule, just wanted to stay in the same speed as you. I will read will some tonight when I get off work. I will post how far I've read and comments about the book will be in a spoiler (for just in case).Hope you are having a good start of the week. Mine has been great today. :)
Hey Rachel. I'm currently on the second chapter...the problem is I have difficulty understanding the book:( I think the writing is a little tough for my age...(btw, I'm 14 - about to turn 15). I hate to tell you this but would you mind on choosing another book (after you read this one of course) and read it with me? Sorry again...:'(
Hey guys, how's the book ?I never heard of it but Cleopatra caught my eye :P
A biography or something, is it ?
Ruchi, not a problem. How about Cinder? I think I remember you saying you had the book, I'm also reading Peter Pan, The lord of rings, The Neverending Story, The Secret Garden, and Maniac Magee. I have a bunch of YA books and childrens. I am also going to start on the sequels to Divergent, The Maze, Sookie Stackhouse books, and Assassin's Apprentice. I am very open. Pick something and I'll see if I can get it.Ishita, Cleopatra is a biography but it's for sure harder reading, if a younger teen. I really am liking the book, she is such an amazing woman and the history of Egypt is just amazing of how many rights they gave to women.
Rachel- yea I might understand ! I'm not as young as Ruchi is (I'm turning 19 next month but anyway). I've read a lot of classics and I'm also very much interested in literature so I've read very difficult authors such as Shakespeare and Keats too so, I don't think it'll be that much of a problem for me !And I like biographies and autobiographies. Specially historical ! Classics are my favorite genre !
And thanks for ur thoughts ! I'll just TBR it and might read it soon :)
Thanks again.
Ishita, you will not have an issue with the book. :)It's a great book. I really enjoy learning about their culture during the time and there is so much that we really don't know about her. It's for sure a to put on the reading list. I hope you can find it free somewhere. I got it from my library.
Yea, I just read the description and it did look like she's been misunderstood a lot by people. That intrigued me, I'd like to know about it now !I was goin to read Julius Caesar and Anthony and Cleopatra as it is next month. I might scoop this in too.
And yeah but I don't like ebooks. I haven't read any so I'll see if I can buy it somewhere for cheap :)
@Rachel, do you have The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer?? Or we could go ahead with Cinder then. And I'm really sorry again. I hate to let you down like this:(
