Madge (madge_the_bibliomaniac) How about Sherrilyn Kenyon's books? Dark Hunter, Were Hunter, Dream Hunter, plus her YA series that's part of that universe (The Chronicles of Nick), etc.

Desislava Pavlova | 74 comments Have you read the Dresden Files series? Storm Front is the first book. Main is a wizard, not a vampire but I think you might like them...
Another series is Mercy Thompson, starting with Moon Called. Werewolves here thought.
And before I forget: Sookie Stackhouse - Dead Until Dark. The vampires are here.
I can also suggest Vampire Academy and the spin offs.
Blue Bloods
I suggest to try her books too.Anne Rice

Martha Dunlop | 9 comments Have you read Erica Stevens' books? She's got a few vampire series and they're really compulsive.

Michelle Gaddis | 17 comments thank you guys I will check all these books out and probably read them all lol

Tracy Tappan I love Ilona Andrews. This is a husband and wife writing team, and their world-building is amazing. Vampires are side characters, and not at all romantic (kinda gross, actually). If you're looking for a new twist on the myth, might I suggest The Bloodline War by new kid on the block Tracy Tappan. Yes, that's me (*sheepish smile*), but reviewers have compared my Varcolac breed to JR Ward and Sherrilyn Kenyon, so I thought you might want to take a peek. I'm also a big fan of Harry Dresden.

G.D. Ogan | 9 comments Michelle, please take a look at the "Look Inside" of my series of (currently) three very unique Vampire novels. Gary, Magdalena and Eviana are the three main characters throughout the series but there are others I feel certain you will love as well. These are NOT the "Bram Stoker" type of blood-thirsty vampires as you'll see if you do the "Look Inside" of all three. Let me know which you'd like at gog6692@msn.com in Kindle format for FREE.

Josephine McNabb | 41 comments You have to read the Immortals after dark series by Kresley ColeHer books are a great read! You could try my own book out if you like, its available at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fire-Fangs-Bl...
Link to goodreads: Fire and Fangs

Krys Keri Arthur is an amazing author! Her paranormal world is beyond words and can hold hands with LKH.

that being said u should do yourself a favor and read the Riley Jensen Guardian series. She has a lot of other series but this one is the longest.

Lora Leigh also has a series-no vamps or wolves but paranormal of her own creation.

Good luck & happy reading :D

Gabby | 906 comments These are all YA and I haven't read some of them but I can think of...
Blue Bloods, Strange Angels, Vampire Academy (and spin-off series), Vampire Kisses, Evernight, Glass Houses

That's all I can think of at the moment.

message 12: by Nichole (new)

Nichole Kim Harrison's The Hollows series and The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher

message 13: by Tracy (new)

Tracy Tappan I second Harry Dresden.

Shelby | 26 comments Captured is a great vampire series.

Craved is a mixture of all paranormal creatures, but still really good.

A Bite's Tale is a really cute short story of a fairytale retelling.

Khrystena | 2 comments I recently found sierra dean (author) her Secret McQueen series. I was pleased at the story and how easy it was to follow.

Brittany | 40 comments I'm in deep depression mode all I want is to eat up the new book in the Kate Daniels series however I can't do that for another month. :( Please someone give me a series recommendation that inspires butterfly's and laughs all at the same time!

message 17: by Nichole (new)

Nichole Moon called by Patricia Briggs is the 1st book in her Mercy Thompson series. Great series!

message 18: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 40 comments Totally agree love the series lol

message 19: by Tracy (new)

Tracy Tappan Argh, Brittany, don't get me started on the Kate Daniels series. I can hardly wait, too...especially since the upcoming book looks like it will have the big confrontation between Kate and her father that we've all been breathlessly awaiting. Meanwhile, you might find butterflies and laughs with "The Bloodline War," first in The Community Series.

Brittany | 40 comments Thanks Ill check it out, we gotta stick together the waiting is killing me!!!

message 21: by Tracy (new)

Tracy Tappan I hear ya, sistah! :o)

message 22: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 40 comments I looked up your book recommendation Tracy, sadly I'm a kobo girl and it's not available.. Someone should let the author know ;)

message 23: by Tracy (new)

Tracy Tappan Brittany, I would be more than happy to email you a free ePub version of the book. ONLY because you are such a serious Kate Daniels groupie, like me. Of course, you'll have to decide if it sounds like something you'd like to try. THE BLOODLINE WAR has been compared to JR Ward and Sherrilyn Kenyon, so it's that type of book. If that's not your thing, no biggie. Different strokes, you know. Otherwise you can email me at Tracy@TracyTappan.com (the reason it's not on Kobo is a longer explanation...). :o)
