INTRODUCTIONS

My names Anita, and I only just joined this group.
I love reading challenges, and are pretty active in other groups.
As Jennifer I read more than anyone I personally know. It's not something I've always done, but discovered the passion of escaping into another world through my reading when I was around 20 and read my first Harry Potter book.
I'm currently 'almost' 28 years old. Turning 28 the 19th of September.
Apart from reading I love to watch sports and listen to music, as well as going out with my friends.
I'm gonna read the rules for these challenge task and get working.

I love to read and I saw this challenge posted by someone on facebook and decided to join in on the fun. It's my first time and I'm really excited.

Faith, I wish you a speedy recovery. And, by the way, reading 485 books in one year is incredible!

Annabeth, I assume you are most familiar with texting as I find your shorthand typing hard to understand. However, if you are asking how to participate, I suggest reading these threads first: The Rules, The Rewards, and Posting Requirements.
Then go to each task, read it and start selecting a book(s) to read to complete the task. ENJOY!

Welcome! I'm having knee surgery on the 17th and this challenge is going to fill up my down time too!

I too heard about it from Book Riot

I'm a librarian at a small branch of a large public library system. This year I haven't read many books and my to read list is starting to get unmanageable. I love challenges. When I heard about this challenge I figured it was the one thing that could save me from having an embarrassing low number of books finished in 2014.

Haha! :D
It's a website with book reviews and articles and opinion pieces about reading. http://bookriot.com/

I am originally from Atlanta, but my husband and I are currently living in Naples, Italy (he is a civilian worker for the Navy). I love reading and I am so excited for this challenge!

And welcome all new members!

Hi everyone! I too am a Book Riot reader and when I read the article earlier this week, I decided to give this challenge a try. I have a lot of unread books on my bookshelves, so hopefully I can get through some of those. I'm pretty excited about this challenge, though some of the tasks seem challenging.
I'm 23 and I live in the DC area.
I can't wait to see what everyone else decides to read over the next few months!

Love to read and do challenges, I'm a little behind on my goal of 100 books in 2014 so looking forward to this challenge pushing me along.
I also heard about this group on the BookRiot website, although I am a regular Goodreads participant.

I read a lot and am involved in a number of book clubs, including one that I moderate on Goodreads. I love reading a variety of genre and I see this as an opportunity to expand on my selections.

My name is Dana and I am a marine bioligist. I read a lot and when I heard about this it seemed like something very interesting. I thought it would be a great way to expand my reading and give me new ways to think about what I read.

My name is Tricia. I'm 25, from New England, and largely read SciFi/Fantasy and YA books. I've been experimenting more this last year with books outside my comfort zone, and book challenges seem to be the easiest way to do that.

I'm here because of your article, but I'm sorry to say I only read about the first paragraph before I was all, "clickity-clickity, FIND THAT GROUP!!" I'm sure the article was lovely and informative, and thanks for the tip!!

I've read Chasing Cezanne, A Dog's Life and (of course) A Year in Provence. I like his style, lots of lighthearted randomness...
