check your schedules and let me know ;) I'd like to wait to see what the December tpam br schedule is if that's ok...it should be out early next week....unless ya'll want to read it now

I want to finish this Painting duet...

how far are you? how is it? I'm not sure if I'm gonna get back to it or not...

92% after a lot of skimming...the back and forth just about killed me and Olin could totally be TSTL!

thanks Ela...I think I'll skip it :)

Actually, I'm on book 2 and gotta tell ya, that's a wise call! I just want to find out WHO THE FUCK IS THIS GUY WHO'S BLACKMAILING THEM AND THEN I'M SO DONE!

Judy, I'm good for waiting. If CD's newest isn't your jam, we can pick something else. I'm okay with whatever. It's funny, because Enemies to lovers is one of my all-time fave tropes. Unless it's a darker read, then I'm not so sure.

I've added a few of her books to my pfm list...I'm normally pretty flexible with my schedule so we can figure it out ;) E-to-L is really hit and miss for me...

Congrats on the new addition to your fam!! ❤🐶

Enjoy! Puppies are a lot of work but luckily their cuteness overrides that ;)

Anyone have any recs for CRs on KU?? Or have KU shelves I can check out?

Hi, everyone!
Just wanted to pop in and see what everyone is thinking about challenges for next year? Are there some we like?? some we don't... let's discuss and make a plan!

I like the levels challenge, but I think we all picked the biggest one so I'm fine with that number again. I could do without the link that was supposed to rec a book though because I picked one I don't like and now I can't change it because the link is dead. 😆

And thank you for reminding me that I sorely need to update my levels challenge and figure out how many books I need to cram into the next 3 weeks.
There are tons of other ideas on the internet too. Even if it's just something like the alphabet challenge. I'm up for all of them!
Robin--what are you talking about with the link being dead? I'm so confused.

Good lord. I didn't click on the right thing. Ignore me. Now I'm just mad I wasted an audible credit on a NA book!

I'm flexible and will go with the group on the challenges. I do like having the PFM because I think that it nudges me to read ones I know I want to read but somehow don't prioritize otherwise. So, I hope we keep that one!

I agree. I think having a "book outside your usual genre" is enough. At my age I'm not going to force read a classic and finally see the light!

So, maybe we can tweak that one out next time....it's a thorn in my side...lol

I loved having a reading goal like the levels challenge vs. just a random number of books to read.
I finished the challenge, but my least favorite was "43.) A book from Time's All-time top 100 book list" Of course, "Top 100" is subjective, but I don't think that there was one book on that list that sparked an interest for me. I only read the book that I did, because it was short and I had to mark it off my list. I feel like these types of "Top 100" lists reflect the people who have prejudice against romantic literature. There wasn't one decent classic romance on the list and I would have to say that Jane Austen, The Bronte's, Madame Bovary, and even the risque Lady Chatterly's Lover are on the top of many lists for literature. A list like this next one or something like it could be fun for us primarily romance readers. https://www.travellingbookjunkie.com/...

Sorry, ladies. I was writing my comment while you two were, as well. I guess we're in agreement for the most part. Haha!

I will read stuff other than romance...but I do have to be in the mood and I'm currently feeling "crunched"....my own fault of course...
I do like your suggestion T.!

Here ya go - All Time Favorites List According to the "Other" Time (aka Lisa)...
The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros
A Lover's Lament by KL Grayson
And I'm too tired to list 98 others - so pick one of those and call it good!!!!
I'm a helper!!!!

Oh Lisa, that sounds fun too!!

Girl, you've got my back!! *kisses*

I'll read books other than romance, too, but they have to appeal to me and none of those on the list did. Well, there were a couple, but when it came down to it, there was always something I wanted to read more.

I did say "decent" classic romance. Lol.

T., exactly...there's been other stuff I've wanted to read more ALL year and here I am ....lol.
