Robin--2099?? Am I the only one who noticed that?? ROFLMA Did you mean 2019 or are you talking about slooow writing? lol

Sex scenes are an absolute pain in the ass to edit! That's part of what I've been working on the last two weeks.

message 63: by Nay (last edited Feb 09, 2017 05:51AM) (new)

Nay (4ukcats) If I may vent for a moment--does anyone else here have a book(s) that they've been waiting and waiting for it to come out (I'm talking YEARS), and the author is still writing other books, but you have no clue when the one that everyone is waiting for is going to be released?

Oh, and when the author is asked about a release date on GR, or FB, or anywhere, the question is completely ignored??

This is just one of those days that I decided to check the ones I've been waiting for, and I don't know why I torture myself, because every time I look them up and notice that people's release date questions are being totally disregarded, it just pisses me off!!

C'mon, authors, give us something, ANYTHING! Even if it's an answer like:

"I got tired of writing that series and the book has been put on hold indefinitely."

Or:

"I'll write it on my own terms and don't give a shit what my fans think or how long they have to wait."

At least those are answers!!

OMG YES YES YES AND THIS AUTHOR ACTUALLY GETS PISSED WHEN PEOPLE ASK HER ABOUT RELEASE DATES THEN SHE WOULD GIVE BOGUS DATES AND NEVER FOLLOW THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no, I meant 2099. I think I'm finally through this sex scene, but I found another remarkably stupid issues last night. Grabbing a diet coke and heading to my office now (which looks an awful lot like a bubble bath).

Yes!!!!!! Its whole reason why I wont read series until all are published. It actually really angers me if author doesn't finish series but writes other things. Wtf??? Its like a slap in the face to leave us hanging. (If they have to stop writing for personal reasons thats understandable.)

Authors take note: finish up series before moving on to writing other things. It pisses readers off.

Now I've gotta know... what series are we talking about!

message 71: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Renee and I agree on a few authors and she introduced me to a new one. I don't want to post here and be a "troll" even though the authors should really be "trolls"!

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
Damn it... you guys suck! LOL! Someone PM me haha!

message 73: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Grey--JIC Ela didn't, I'm PMing you.

Would it suck for me to post them here? I don't want to be mean and our discussions have Maryse's name on them, so I don't want anything to reflect badly on her, especially since she's not on GR! lol

But I have no problem PMing anyone who wants to know if everyone thinks it wouldn't be nice for me to post them.

message 74: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Yeah I kind of PM'ed her already but by all means send Grey a message....LOL

message 75: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) OK, so I won't send her a double one.

I really don't see a problem just mentioning any authors who we're waiting on books from, as long as we're not nasty about it--it's public knowledge after all.

message 76: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Go ahead, you're right.

message 77: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Yeah I've been waiting many, many years for the conclusion to an Australian YA fantasy trilogy by Isobelle Carmody. It's called the Legendsong trilogy. Bk 1, Darkfall, came out 1997 (yup!) and Bk 2, Darksong, came out 2002. Bk 3, Darkbane???? Came out, never!! In the meantime Ms Carmody, who is quite prolific, has published quite a few other books (none of which I'm interested in, LOL). IF Darkbane ever emerges, I'l probably have totally lost interest in it. I suspect I may have outgrown the series now anyway, although I loved the first two when I originally read them. (Yeah, I'm THAT old LOL).

message 78: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments NOW THATS A WAIT!

message 79: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Yup. Darkbane is still listed on her website as 'forthcoming'........ Uh huh.

message 80: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) OMG, Jan! That's ridiculous!

Ok, so it's probably pretty easy to guess that one author I'm speaking of is Madeline Sheehan who has two series we've been waiting several years for--The Holy Trinity series, which had a cliffhanger in the last book, and The Undeniable series.

The other one is the Charlie Madigan series by Kelly Gay.

message 83: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Robin, you really do need to finish that book. I have read the blurb eleventy zillion times and can't wait for the book to go with it. No pressure though

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

That is a great blurb.

Yet, I think I know you too well to read it, lol.

Frustrated because I want it to end already, for some reason I'm just getting pissed with them all!

message 98: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Another trilogy that's having a long wait to be completed is Ruthie Knox's New York trilogy. The first one, Truly, came out in Aug 2014, and the second one, Madly, isn't due till this March. The third one, Completely, will follow in June 2017. Taking a long time for book 2!! Nearly 3 years. I actually didn't read Truly till last year so it's not quite that long a wait for me, but still. I LOVED Truly BTW and can't wait for the next ones.
