Reading update: 36% done in Sivagami... close to half of the book, but still the story is not progressing... Do you feel that the story is being dragged?

At around 65% and the plot is still unclear. So many characters, but they hardly seem impressive -_-

well, I was suppposed to start Scion of Ikshvaku ... And we wanted to read White Night, but waiting for polo to join for that... Now It has come.. My guess is that I'll abandon all these three and read some other book :-) Will decide before evening.... any suggestions for a <300 pages book?
