SOLVED. Bunny goes on an adventure to an island. [s]

Someone has asked me for help finding this because I am usually really good at it, but I can't ind this one to save my life. They had it read to them as a child in the 80's(probably late 80's as they were born in 84) but not sure if it was older than that.

A bunny goes on a fishing trip and gets caught in a storm
He ends up on a small island
He digs for shelter and finds buried treasure
: Eventually he builds a boat and takes it to another island, which is inhabited by monkeys
[He leaves the monkey island and catches a ride with a passing whale
That brings him home to his wife
He tells her what happened and she doesn't believe him until he falls asleep and she finds a black pearl nestled in his ear

The book in question was "The Adventures of Benjamin Pink" by Garth Williams, an updated story taken from the book was also published in the 2000's called "Benjamin's Treasure".
