Candice (locomonobano) | 78 comments Finished Dad Is Fat by Jim Gaffigan today! It has literally been in the "currently reading" left hand bar for two years. I am so happy to finally hit "I'm finished" and to stop feeling like a loser. Updated post #28.

Diane | 1234 comments Finished #4 The Ghost Files 2 (The Ghost Files, #2) by Apryl Baker series I have not continued more than 6 months despite the fact I have owned it. It was eh for me about 2.5 but still will finish the series because there are a few things I am curious about.

I hate when that currently reading thing happens to me when I have put the book aside but plan on finishing it. The Scorpio Races was there for me over 2 years! I felt so accomplished when I finally read it and LOVED it. I did figure out though, if you go to that book's page and it says you are currently reading it under the cover photo, you can change it from there and put it back on your to read list. Just a future reference if you have a book on the currently reading bar that is driving you nuts :)

Thanks Diane! Yeah I could have moved it back to TBR, but I couldn't let myself. I'm too stubborn!

Diane | 1234 comments For the longest time I couldn't figure out how to do that with out marking it finished and rating it. It drove me nuts!

message 170: by Amber (last edited Dec 06, 2016 06:26AM) (new)

Amber (amberm867) I totally forgot to post, but a while back, I finished Uprooted by Naomi Novik as a TBR, to complete the challenge. Yay! I may pick up a few more here an there, but probably won't get through another 6.

I had fun though. I really loved 3 of the books I read and liked the other 3 pretty well, so overall this was a great challenge for me.

Updated original post #8.

message 171: by Gremlin (new)

Gremlin | 966 comments Congratulations, Amber! And to all the other folks who've completed the challenge so far (Kelly, Christie, Barb, Ashley, Candice, Jennifer & Hillary). You're an inspiration to the rest of us to keep going!

It is extremely satisfying to finish off books that I've been meaning to read for years :) Let's keep at it, everyone! And if you've already completed the challenge - keep reading more! In follow up rounds, I'll count just about anything that you've put off for a while - whether it be YA or not! It's all about finishing the year off with a strong sense of accomplishment :)

message 182: by Cintia (last edited Dec 29, 2016 05:09PM) (new)

Cintia (cintiah) | 27 comments Don't think I'll be able to finish this challenge. I guess I underestimated how busy I was going to be (and how many other books I wouldn't be able to resist reading first! I'm hopeless!), but still working on finishing City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5) by Cassandra Clare and Legion Lost by K.C. Finn so that I can get to at least half of the challenge. Anyway, it's been great! It made me go back to reading The Mortal Instruments, which I'd stopped more than two years ago, I guess, mostly because I was angry at the cliffhanger, and needed a break!
