I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but I am not particularly inclined to cars. It may give me some insight into my boys though. :) Reggie is definitely feisty so far!
She was a different sort of character I agree Juli, but very likable. What did you all think of Tanner?

I agree that Tanner was very complex and felt his conflict in serving his ruler and at the same time loving Regina.
I would have loved a few more "dad" scenes for Tanner and his girls, taking in 2 pre-teen girls had to be a huge change for him, that would have been fun or a scene with Reggie getting "princess lessons" haha!
Those scenes would've definitely been fun!! More scenes with Reggie and the Girls and in the girls point of view though it might be too much it still would've been great!
I loved how Regina's singing calmed the storm of confrontations, not once but twice. Personally I thought that was brilliant! :)

Kalena, it absolutely reminds me of The Princess Diaries. I've never read those books but the movies are both on my list of favorite movies! :)

I haven't read this book, but I just wanted to pop in and say that I loved The Princess Diaries :) They were my favourite books when I was a preteen. Even if I didn't like the later books in the series so much (probably because I was too old for them when they released) I kept reading because I wanted to find out how they ended. I think I read the final book in my first year of university? The films are super sweet as well. I may have to check this series out now :)

a lot better, but Rachel Hauck writes fun, light fiction that is worth checking out.
I just finished Princess Ever After. While I enjoyed it, I agree with Kalena, Once Upon a Prince was much stronger.
Tanner was the highlight of the book for me. Reggie was a bit harder to connect with. Overall, a fun read.

Here is the Goodreads summary for Princess Ever After-
Regina Beswick never dreamed of faraway places. She’s happy with her life as a classic car mechanic and owner of a restoration shop.
But an unexpected visitor and the discovery of a fairytale, drawn by her great-grandma, causes Regina to wonder if she might be destined for something more.
Tanner Burkhardt, Minister of Culture for the Grand Duchy of Hessenberg, must convince the strong-willed Southerner, Miss Beswick, that she is his country’s long-lost princess. Failure could destroy his reputation and change his nation forever.
As Regina and Tanner face the challenges before them, neither are prepared for love to invade their hearts and change every thing they believe about themselves.
However, when a royal opponent nearly destroys Regina’s future, she must lean into God and trust He has sovereignly brought her to her true and final destiny.
