Juliana Rodrigues (julianamfrodrigues) | 87 comments I'm still reading and listening to my two books.
Had a busy weekend, but I should have at least one finished until Friday.

Juliana Rodrigues (julianamfrodrigues) | 87 comments Inke, let me know what do you think of Ship of Magic, I heard good things about it. I hope you like it.

message 57: by Jen (new)

Jen Sabo | 25 comments Yikes, I finished my book but didn't realize someone had already claimed that labor. Anyways, I'm going to read Last Sacrifice which would work for labor 10 for either main character is a vampire or paranormal romance.

If I have time next I will read another in a series I was working on before that is also both vampire and paranormal.

I've listened to the first chapter and I have to get used to the narrator, I like the story so far but the narration is not what I expected.

Lexi | 38 comments In a bit of a slump on reading with The Name of the Rose. Thinking of taking a short break. Would you think either Labyrinth Lost or Wildwood Dancing has a gold object on the cover? Also, Imprudence has a character who can be a vampire or werewolf as she steals powers but isn't really either so I didn't think it would work?

Sorry, I'd say no to all of those.

message 63: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 38 comments Fine, put me down for book on cover (labor 5) with
Libriomancer (Magic Ex Libris, #1) by Jim C. Hines
Libriomancer. Might also work for the gold sword hilt, but I leave someone who is a better judge of color than me to decide that.

Lisette (illusie) Lori, have you already heard from Eli?

message 66: by Lisette (last edited Sep 20, 2016 07:59AM) (new)

Lisette (illusie) I see that Imke and Chava are both reading a book for labor 1 - Lure the Troll with Fish - Read a book that's main setting is on the water

I have added the names of what has been claimed so far in our spreadsheet. So if you are chosing a book for 1 of the challenges, I suggest you look at the spreadsheet to check was is already claimed. For now I have put down jen for vampire.

Lusie wrote: "Lori, have you already heard from Eli?"

Sadly, no. I don't think she's been on GR since she last posted in our group.

I am pretty sure I can read for Read a book where a main character is a musician. I have ordered Kill the Boy Band from the library and that should come in in time for me to read it for this!

Xelly wrote: "Is the main character a musician? I was asking because of the cover. If so, I could do a paranormal romance with Up From the Grave or go find a musician?"

We're going to use Emelie's book for musical instrument on cover. So you can still read a paranormal romance book.

Lisette (illusie) Lori, did you already start reading your book for "Find Mr. Darcy - Read a book with a title (Mr., Ms, Lord, etc.) in the title"? I found a book that works for that challenge that I'd like to read (The Lost Duke of Wyndham).

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

Xelly wrote: "Are the only ones we have left unclaimed for main labors are medal/trophy and part decoration?"

I have a book that works for medal/trophy. So that leaves party decorations - balloons, ribbons, confetti, flower decorations, party masks, etc. Could be for any type of party - birthday, Christmas, wedding, christening, Halloween, etc.

Anyone looking for another task to read for should check out the bonus tasks as well.

Lisette (illusie) I have found a book with balloons; Rachel's Holiday (Walsh Family #2) by Marian Keyes . I'm first reading 2 other books, but if no one has read for this challenge once I have read the books I'll read for this challenge.

We've been able to cover it with a NBRC Travel Agent book.

message 86: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) okay, thanks for letting me know!

message 87: by Chava (new)

Chava Finished Cold Grave for labor 1 - task Lure the Troll with Fish - Read a book that's main setting is on the water

message 88: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) How far is everyone with reading for these challenges?

I think we won't get more bonus rounds until everything for this is finished. Is that correct? Do you think we should wait for everyone who has claimed a book to finish it, or should the persons who cant read for a challenge because non is open read for a claimed challenges and then we use the book that is finished first (of course we then have to be careful that everyone has read 2 books for the main challenge)?

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

I've used Lexi's The Name of the Rose for murder happens to get us moving again.

If anyone has a book with a vampire as the MC feel free to read it to get the final task completed so we can get the bonus points.
