I know a lot of people weren't happy with the way this series ended. I personally loved it! I was captivated once I got into the bulk of the story and it got under my skin. I really wish there were more books because it did leave a lot of potential left for more stories to come. I think Dorian has made my book boyfriend list, and I'm quite sad to see this finished.

My Review: If you wondered what happened to Stephano Notte, who we met in A Bite To Remember after he was involuntarily turned into a vampire, then now is your chance.
Nowadays, Stephano, goes by Jake and he is in the bodyguard business. His Aunt Marguerite ropes him into a little subterfuge in order to protect her friend, Nicole who is going through a divorce and seems to have a run of bad luck that may be hiding the fact that someone is trying to kill her!
Jake doesn't seem to be coming to terms with what happened to him initially, Marguerite coming into his life seems to shake him up a bit. She is definitely up to her old tricks as far as matchmaking is concerned, there are a few comedic parts in this instalment and I was pleasantly surprised with this one, I keep expecting Lynsay to run out of idea's but it has happened yet, thankfully!

As usual

My Review: I am not sure what to think of this one to be honest, I wanted to love it in so many ways because quite a few of my friends rave about the series but I just didn't love it with the enthusiasm that they do. It is the first book in a series and it has a serious amount of world building going on, I think if the hero was more likeable or I could identify a bit better with the heroine then I may have tolerated this a bit better. Saying that, I did enjoy the premise and it did pick up a bit towards the end, I will continue with the series, I think, but I am in no hurry.

Aww, thank you Christina! :)

That's possible, since we're only two books away from our Demons stamp and three books away from our Free Space stamp!

Wow, this was my favorite so far! And Ms. Jones how could you end it like that! I need book 7 like now. Mild spoiler for earlier books:(view spoiler) As usual this book had me ROTFLMAO at times, in fact expect a lot of #randomhashtags from me (anyone who's read this will get the joke) for a minute while this book is still engrained in my head. Seriously any Charley fan that's waiting to read this for some reason, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND PICK THIS UP!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Yes you will like it. Reminded me of early Evanovich Stephanie Plum adventures with more originality. You`ll find yourself delightfully snickering at and cheering for the the main character. It is funny.

I have really loved this entire trilogy but I just don't think this one lives up to the 2 previous books. This book was full on zombieville whereas the first two skirted the outskirts only. This book dragged over and over again. Sure the dragging issues were broken up by some great action but then it fell into monotony again which was just sad for me. I kind of felt like Caine failed me even though the entire trilogy was wrapped up nicely. I was completely satisfied with the ending but it could have been so much...more....than what it was. For this reason I just couldn't give it 4 stars and settled with 3.5 (even though I rounded down for the pesky sites that don't allow me half stars.

Review:
A complex story involving fae, vampires and witches, among others, in a world where the various races mix with varying results.
The story revolves around a murder case our heroine, Genny Taylor, a Sidhe fae working for a magic company run by witches, gets dragged in. Vampires seem to be involved, and conspiracies, betrayals and hidden agendas everywhere are a few of the things Genny must work through to get to the truth.
Apart from a couple of disjointed and confusing parts the writing is pretty good and the world the story's set in is elaborate.
Genny is a complicated character with an even more complicated past and uncertain future that I'm curious to read about in the next book of the series, The Cold Kiss of Death.

Once Christina is done with her Demon shelf book we'll get our Demon shelf stamp, too, so well done everyone!

This was pretty steamy, a little different but not cheesy. I really liked the heroine she wasn't afraid when she had good reason to be. I've been wanting to read these books for a while since most everyone else has. I'm glad I did! I'll be reading more in the future for sure!

An interesting first in a series that I've been wanting to read forever. I liked Tayla's sarcastic sense of humor but to tell the truth most of the characters had it so it didn't stand out as well as I think it could have. Some positives: good action sequences, a handful of tortured heroes worth reading about in future books, extremely strong females and interesting world building. Some negatives:so many demon species and subspecies made it difficult to keep track of in the beginning and the sex (I didn't think there was too much...it truly didn't overpower the storylines even though our hero is going through his second sexual puberty. I think what got me was the first one. I hate when the characters meet and 5 minutes later have sex. Just an issue I have but not everyone will.) One more thing that I didn't know really if it was a positive or negative.
Overall a really exciting book and one I'm glad I read. I'll continue on with the series but this one isn't going to be a keeper for me.

Review:
The story of another unlikely, yet well suited couple.
Bowen's story picks up from where it started in the previous book, with him trying to win the key to bring back his lost mate. Things don't go quite as he planned and he ends up cursed, stranded and confused.
I found Mariketa slightly annoying, but her young age might be partly to blame for a number of her faults.
An enjoyable story set in the elaborate world of the Lore featuring both new and familiar characters, quite a few of whom I'd like to read more about.
The series continues with Dark Needs at Night's Edge and Nikolai and Sebastian's brother, Conrad.

Is it? I'm a bit reluctant to read it to be honest... The main characters are pretty much unknown and there are quite a few whose stories I'd like to read instead.

The..."
I love this series but have read them all out of order. I'm currently reading the novella prequel (well, I read the first 2 pages so I think that counts as currently reading...right?) I also read the 2nd book (but after reading books 5 and 6) After reading book 2 I then read book 9. LOL. I intended to read 14 of them this year but haven't even started (except for the 2 pages in the novella.

This book was just so so. I couldn't really connect with any of the characters. I'm not yet sure if I'm going to continue with this series.

My Review: I wasn't sure what to expect from this one but as I'll be meeting Suzanne in a few weeks at a signing I figured this would be the perfect time to read it and I am truly glad I did.
This one had everything I love in Shifter stories, an easy to follow mythology with pack politics and potential hostile takeovers. We have domineering alpha males who you either want to love or love to hate, sassy females and stroppy females, and we have different varieties of mates and happy ever afters. In short, I loved it and I will be reading the rest of the series. I love finding gems like this!

Yeah, I bought it but I haven't been able to bring myself to read it yet. I've picked it up a couple of times but always put it down in favour of something else.

I checked and I can get them all through the library so if I do decide to try another, like Sandra said, I won't feel guilty :)
