Hello team! It's nice to meet you all (for the first time or not)!

I'm a veteran captain so I could dig up my captain hat once again or pass it on to any one of you who wants it.

After a quick research on the number 5 for inspiration I came upon the word 'Quintessence', (meaning 'fifth element', refers to the elusive fifth element that completes the basic four elements (water, fire, air, and earth)) (thank you wikipedia!) which in turn led me to quintessential (=representing the most perfect or typical example of a quality or class) and so of course my suggestion for our team name is "Quintessential Readers" for obvious reasons. :P

Thoughts?

Hi all! Just popping in quickly to say go team! I'm currently not near my computer because I have a ton of family in town right now for a graduation. We're super busy entertaining them all. It's hectic but fun to see so many we haven't talked to in years.
I'll be mostly unavailable until midnight (central standard time) on Sunday into Monday which is right about the time our game starts I believe.
I'd rather not attempt to captain yet as this is only my second team challenge on GR so far. I just don't feel comfortable doing it just yet. As far as names for our team I'm easy to please. I like the Quintessentials but love randomness a lot and toxic smoking monkeys cracks me up. I'm honestly good with whatever.
Well, posting on my Kindle is a total pain (but I do love that it works in a pinch) so I'm off. I'll check in with y'all in two days.

I gave up with the Dark Swan books, how are you finding them Jenne? I have a kind of love hate with Richelle's books. I have yet to work out if I get p*ssed off so much because her writing is that good or if it's because the characters are that bad (if that makes sense?)

lol her characters are definitely flawed. I think they appeal to me because they're not perfect. Honestly Dorian makes the dark swan series for me not Eugenie. I just finished the 3rd the other day and it was my favorite so far. I've heard I won't be happy with SH so I'm kinda scared to read it lol.

I agree whole heartedly, you're braver than me though I didn't read the 3rd. I just get so angry reading them, they leave me with a serious book hangover. I finally decided to just stop reading them. I am so curious about your review for this one! :)


Go ahead, Thenia. I think we all like the name & the captaincy is yours. I am about a lot but life is unpredictable for me with 3 little ones, one of which has autism.

A wonderful look into Bastian's world. As if having 2 complete strangers staying with him isn't enough, add one cousin who still has to eat "off the hoof", and a dash of pre-wedding "disasters" and let the chaos reign. While some might say it's not up to par with Love Bites and Single White Vampire, you can't help but feel bad for poor accident prone C.K. and laugh at how Marguerite manages to show up right when her sons don't want her.

Review:

The world of Demonica continues and the focus now has shifted to the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. The three brothers and their one sister are in possession of seals that once broken will bring about the end of the world.

After the events of Sin Undone, (view spoiler)[the first horseman's seal has been broken and he has become Pestilence, evil and on a mission to break the remaining seals. (hide spoiler)] Ares is the second horseman and he is determined to do whatever it takes to avoid becoming War.

A series of events makes his path cross with that of Cara, a gifted human that's been traumatized in the past and whose life has just taken a turn for the worse.

Action, legendary beings, seemingly insurmountable odds and the ultimate happy ending for the couple, (view spoiler)[with Cara becoming an immortal and so, able to both stay with Ares and keep his seal from breaking (hide spoiler)].

Original and fast paced, all in all an enjoyable read. Next comes the story of Ares' sister, Limos, in Immortal Rider.

I've only got about 10% into my demons book and haven't started my free space book yet. It's due back to the library in a couple days (the free space book) so I might have to set Pleasure Unbound aside to focus on Terminated first. I don't read very fast (too many distractions unfortunately) so I hope I don't let any of you guys down. I'll definitely do my best to have my books done by the time our next shelf is posted.

All my relatives have now left for their respective parts of the country so it's not as hectic around here. Hoping to get some massive reading done during the next 3 days!
