Almost all the topics I make are strange plays on the names. :]So what are you interested in?
Sounds interesting...One thing to remember is that there's two of us so one character can't be the main protagonists. How about the two are best friends and they fall down a rabbit hole. There's a prophecy about them; one is the great creator while the other is the great destroyer. They are destined to fight, but both don't understand what's happening. As they wander through the world, they realize that the prophecy is true and that they must fight for the world. Or something along those lines. Both develop their powers. Since the kingdom doesn't know which one is which, both train together.
sorry I don't understand. I haven't read any of the series mentioned above.

Personality: He's very talkative and loves to have debates with people. He's very charismatic and also full of random knowledge that doesn't always help him. He's very friendly and loves animals. One of his favorite hobbies is working with his father making watches and clocks.

Daniel was sitting in school when he saw a strange creature running across the front field of the school. He only caught a glimpse of it as the bell rang. Choosing to disregard its presence, Daniel went to his next class, gym. While outside watching the more athletic students run around, Daniel stood on the edge of the field when he spotted the creature again. It was a white rabbit. The white fur and blood red eyes were strange enough in this part of Maryland, but what was even stranger was the pocket watch around its neck. Daniel took a step closer, but the rabbit bolted. Interested in the creature, Daniel followed it to a large tree on the side of the school. The students usually called it 'Prof. Oak'. There the rabbit went down into a hole. Daniel got on his knees to see where the rabbit went, but the ground collapsed beneath him and he fell through.[[just to start us off]]
[[I was thinking she'd follow him down the rabbit hole, but there are many ways to get to another realm... You can have her go to the girls bathroom and go 'through the looking glass'... Sorry this one's a long one]]Daniel fell through the rabbit hole. As he fell he watched the dirt sides become more like a worm hole. Doors were scattered around the space. He fell through a few, but there was nothing on the other side. When he reached the bottom, he hit with a loud 'thump'.
Daniel sat up and rubbed the back of his head. He was in a strange room that had a checker board pattern on the walls. Turning around, Daniel found the rabbit sitting there. He was different than Daniel remembered. Now the rabbit was more human-like. It had a vest on and a small pair of spectacles sitting on the bridge of his nose. He took one step towards it, but it bolted out of a small door. "Wait!" Daniel called after but it was gone. Where the rabbit once stood, there was the golden pocket watch.
Daniel picked it up and found that it was broken. Taking a seat at the small table in the center of the room, Daniel opened the back and inspected it. It was an older watch. As he fiddled with it he found that a spring had come loose. He pushed it back into place and it began to tick again. Pleased with his work, Daniel closed the back and opened it. He looked at his own wrist watch and went to set the pocket watch, but when he pushed the time forward things began to change.
The walls began to age and mold began to grow in the little crevices. The paint on the doors began to peel and the table began to chip. Daniel realized this and stopped moving the time. This was very strange, but he decided to roll with it. He then, cautiously, began to move the watch backwards. The mold receded, the doors glowed as if freshly painted, the table became stronger. Daniel then realized that he had the power to control time, or at least that's what he thought.
Daniel continued to experiment with the watch, until he saw a small key. It grew brighter as he turned the time backwards. He picked it up and looked for a way out of the room. The only door he could find was the one the rabbit escaped from. He looked around for something anything to help him squeeze through the door. That's when he saw a small vile labeled, 'drink me'. He looked around for a second before taking a sip. He began to grow smaller as he drank more. Stopping before he was too small, Daniel took the key and opened the door. When he stepped outside it was a huge forest. Looking around Daniel followed a slightly worn path that led somewhere.

He reached a mushroom where a Caterpillar sat. The insect was smoking a hooka as he asked, "Who are you?"
Daniel looked at the caterpillar and replied, "Daniel." He was a bit skeptical about the creature and gripped the watch in case anything happened. As he watched the creature move on the mushroom, he wondered what he should do next. "That watch is dangerous. If it was me, I'd throw that thing away," the caterpillar stated as he moved around on the mushroom. Daniel didn't know what to say. There was no way he'd leave the watch behind. It was too valuable to him and his survival. The caterpillar could see the determination on Daniel's face and explained, "All magic has a price. The price of that pocket watch is your commitment as a guardian. If you become too attached you will no longer be able to return to your world. You see, the people in your realm don't have magic... or at least the vast majority. You are no different. Although you have the knowledge and fearlessness to wield it, you're body doesn't have the strength to withstand the strain. This world can turn your body into something different, something magical. The price is that you will no longer be able to return."
Daniel thought about what the caterpillar had to say. He wasn't completely convinced that this place was even real or if it was all a dream. Despite this he felt that the caterpillar's words should be heeded. "Where should I go?" Daniel asked as he looked back towards where he came. There was a nasty lightening storm brewing. He heard the thunder. It scared him to the core. Remembering how he was struck by lightening as a child, Daniel shied away from the storm. The caterpillar laughed and pointed with his many legs, "You need to go into the storm and find your friend. She came for you after all." Daniel didn't understand what the bug was talking about until he continued, "That girl Anise followed you here. You should see how she's doing. Once you two catch up you should probably find your way back to your world. Talk to the Hatter...Did you know that some hats can transport you through portals?"
Daniel didn't know what to do, but he felt an obligation to Anise. If she did follow him here, he needed to find her. She was his best friend after all. As he looked towards the storm he bit the inside of his cheek and began in the direction.
Daniel ran over to her and embraced her, picking her up. He didn't care how she got there or why, but he was happy to know she was there with him. He put her down and smiled. No words came to mind as he smiled. Pulling her out of the rain, he began to run with her hand in his. It was just like when they were children. Daniel remembered those times and continued to pull her through the rain. He wasn't scared as long as he had her near him. As they ran, Daniel yelled, "Hurry! We're almost there!" He was leading them back to the caterpillar, but as he did so a bright flash stopped them.Daniel could feel the electricity course through his body. He let go of Ani's hand and watched as the bolt of lightening passed through her body. It was simply beautiful and he couldn't believe what was happening. Once the electricity had stopped, Daniel felt the effects of the powerful bolt going through his own body and blacked out.
Daniel awoke and when he did he felt horrible. Everything hurt and his mind was numb. His hand groped for something, anything. He felt the soft sensation of fur and opened his eyes to find the strange animal next to him. It looked like some sort of wild cat thing. Daniel didn't really have the energy to really care much. "Ani?" He asked in a weak voice. He couldn't bare the thought of her not there. There was something he needed to confess and he'd only say it to her, "Ani, everything hurts. I'm scared." Those words were almost too painful to say. Trying to get himself in a sitting position, Daniel looked for Ani, but couldn't find her. Was he dreaming this entire thing? Was he hallucinating? Weakly, Daniel got to his feet. His entire body was trembling as he moved out of the cave he yelled weakly, "ANI!"
Daniel trembled in her arms. He felt ashamed for freaking out like that, but he was so scared. The last thing he wanted was Ani to get lost or hurt or worse. He wanted to protect her from everything, yet he couldn't. The fact that he was so weak, scared him the most. As he calmed down he asked Ani, still resting his head, "Are you alright? Why weren't you electrocuted?" He remembered how the lightening passed right through her as if she wasn't even there. This place was strange. Between the talking caterpillar and strange lightening, Daniel was ready to go home.

"It's alright," he replied more for himself than her. He was just glad she was still there with him. Gently, he let go of her and let her go. "What are we going to do now?" He asked. It was a very strange world they were in and he had no idea how to get home.
Daniel looked at the strange animal and smiled, "I don't think so. Cheshire, that's a strange name. How'd you come by it?" He asked Ani, thinking she named the beast. It wouldn't be too far fetched since the creature looked friendly. Daniel bent down to pet the animal.
Daniel reached for Cheshire, "Thanks bud." He wasn't much of an animal person and he didn't really like cats too much, but this one wasn't exactly a cat...or was it. For all Daniel knew he was dreaming most of this up. As he moved his pocket watch shifted in his pocket. He wondered if should tell Ani about the watch's properties.
Daniel jumped and nearly fell when Cheshire spoke. It was so unreal. Keeping his distance, Daniel asked, "What do you want?" Daniel couldn't understand what was going on or why the cat could talk. His confusion was overwhelming between the talking cat, Ani's electrical powers, and his own pocket watch. "WHAT IS THIS PLACE!?" He asked in a frustrated tone.
"Ok, Wonderland," Daniel said softly to himself. By now he was used to strange things so he calmed a bit. Gathering himself together, Daniel exhaled and asked, "How do we get out of here? This isn't where we belong." Daniel was sick of this nonsense. At first it was a lot of fun, but now it was just painful.
Daniel didn't like the way the cat spoke. It was like a sort of puzzle to him and he didn't care much about it. "Where can we find the hatter?" Daniel demanded more than asked. He was fed up with this world and just wanted to go home. It didn't matter what the cat said, Daniel would find the hatter anyway and demand their passage back to the real world.
Daniel wasn't afraid of the world any more, or at least he didn't show it. "Come on Ani, let's find this Hatter guy. Maybe he can help us get out of here," Daniel took Ani's hand and began to lead her down the path Cheshire pointed out for them.
Daniel wasn't in the mood. He snapped back, "It's nothing special." It wasn't that he didn't appreciate beauty or nature, he was just exhausted and sick of the entire day. All he wanted was to go home. As they neared the Tea Party, they could hear the 'clink' of porcelain and metal. Daniel rushed towards the table once it was in sight.
[[been really busy sorry]]Daniel found the one with the large hat and assumed he was the hatter. "Excuse me, but how can we get out of here? We don't belong in Wonderland. We come from..."
The Hatter put his hand up and replied, "Take a seat. It's time for tea." Daniel didn't know what to do so he just followed the instructions and took a seat next to a weird looking rabbit. It was nothing like the white rabbit he saw earlier, but he didn't really care that much.
Daniel didn't know what had gotten into Ani, but decided to let her go... "Be careful!" He yelled after her as she disappeared. Turning to face the Hatter he asked, "How can we get home?" The Hatter finished his cup of tea and exhaled before smiling goofishly. "You two say you don't belong here, but you do. Look at what you two can do. Those who don't belong here can't use Wonderland's powers. You two can."
Daniel continued to talk to the Hatter. All the while he was thinking, "Yes, this man is mad." Daniel didn't care too much about the man's mental state because he was getting information, which was more than he could say for the cat. As he spoke with the Hatter he could smell the scent of burnt something. He didn't like that. A part of him wondered if it was Ani, while another part of him dismissed the scent completely.Daniel continued to talk with the Hatter until he couldn't stand the man's voice any longer. Getting up abruptly, Daniel went to find Ani in the woods. He followed his nose.
[[guy on the horse]]Daniel could hear in the distance that something was up. He followed where he thought Ani was, but couldn't find her. Instead he found burnt grown and trees as well as a twitching card. Inspecting the object, Daniel was startled when the Hatter said, "Yep, she's going to the Queen of Hearts."
The man on the horse led the cards, which were pushing Ani forward. He didn't stop despite the long trek. Without saying a word he made his way to the edge of the palace where the cards left the two to proceed into the castle.
The Hatter was quick to lead Daniel to the palace. Looking closer, Daniel could see Ani being led away by the strange man on horse back. Being as sneaky as he could, Daniel got as close as he could to the gates and attempted to climb over. The idea of losing Ani drove him up and over the large gates.The man on horseback didn't really acknowledge Ani's existence. He continued to lead her away until he heard the sound of someone climbing over the gates. Drawing his sword, the man approached Daniel.
Daniel landed on his feet determined to get Ani back. He took out his pocket watch. Originally, he didn't want to use it since it would bind him to Wonderland, but now it's powers were needed. Daniel pulled the crown and everything stood still. Even Ani was frozen in time. Daniel was sure to keep it sweet and simple as he grabbed Ani. Once Daniel touched Ani, she unfroze. "Come on, I don't know how long this will last," Daniel said urgently as he pulled Ani towards the gate.
Daniel helped Ani over the gate as time began to move again. He counted the length of time he could stop time. About 30 seconds he had. As time completely resumed Daniel was still on the other side of the gate scrambling up it. The masked man took a swing at his leg, but missed as Daniel escaped. They were surrounded by guards when Daniel stopped time again. Warning Ani, "Don't touch anyone or they'll resume as well." Daniel went around the guards leading the way for Ani.
Daniel slowed with Ani. He ducked behind a bush and relaxed. Breathing heavily, Daniel looked at Ani, "Are you alright?" Using the watch was fun and gave him an exhilarating feeling, but something felt weird. Daniel dismissed the feeling and turned his attention back to Ani.
Daniel held his shoulder as he replied, "i never intended to use it. The more I use it the greater my attachment to this place. If I use it too much I won't be able to leave." He was stressed out. It wasn't like he wanted to hide the fact. He just never intended to use it, so why mention it? "If you're so fascinated have it," Daniel said as he gave it to Ani. Once the watch touched Ani's hand the hands stopped and the watch lost it's glow, or magical presence. [[It'll only work for Daniel]]
"Agreed," Daniel said as he took a seat wondering what their next move should be. They were still relatively close to the palace and he could see the guards beginning their search. He wondered if they should get going somewhere.
Daniel relaxed as he explained, "No, he didn't make much sense no matter how I looked at it. Everything he said was a jumble of mess." Daniel then turned his attention to the man on the horse. He thought he recognized that face. It felt familiar, yet he couldn't put his finger on it. That's when it hit him...it was his older brother.
Daniel didn't respond as he focused on the man's face. It was definitely his brother, but he died... At least that's what he thought. Headlines: School Bus Falls Off Cliff; That's what the newspapers said. Daniel sat alone in his room that he used to share with his older brother Erik. They were very close even though they fought. Only 2 years apart, the two got along pretty well and both had similar interests. Daniel was alone now. His best friend was dead now and he was alone. Without crying, Daniel climbed out of his window and wandered the streets trying to find solace. As he wandered he came across a young girl on an old swingset. He's never seen the girl before. Going up to her, he said, "Hello, I'm Daniel."
She smiled and replied, "Ani."
Daniel revealed himself from the bushes. In shock he said shakily, "Erik?" He was unsure what to do next. Daniel was sure that the man was Erik. Although he was a much older version, it was definitely his brother.
"Erik!" Daniel exclaimed as he hugged his brother. He started to cry like he would when they were boys. As he did so card soldiers could be heard nearing. "Come with us. We're trying to go home. Come with us," Daniel begged.
"Why? What are you going to do?" Daniel began somewhat protectively as he backed away slightly. "Why should we go towards the angry playing cards?"
Daniel took another step backwards, "No, I can't. It doesn't feel right." He reached for his watch in case Erik tried something. Despite his need to run, Daniel was compelled to listen to his older brother. But then again, when did he actually do that?[[nite]]
Daniel struggled against his brother as Ani placed a hand on him. She sent a bolt of electricity through him. A chill went down his spine as he was used as a conductor. He grit his teeth as the current passed through him and to his brother. When he looked back at Erik, his brother was on the floor twitching. Part of him was unsure of what to do next, while another decided to run.
Daniel turned to see Ani shrink. Pulling his watch out quickly, he grabbed Ani and bolted. They had just enough time to outrun the soldiers. He ran and never looked back, too worried about the well-being of Ani. As he continued to run something compelled him towards the Caterpillar's mushroom.
Daniel didn't really adjust his grip until they reached the mushroom, but the caterpillar wasn't there. He looked around yelling, "Epsilon, Epsilon, where are you?" He didn't know what to do, but the caterpillar finally appeared. He didn't look too good. Daniel didn't care much as he asked, "Help me make her big again." Epsilon smiled with his hooka and replied, "That would be the Hatter's expertise."
Daniel opened his hand and allowed Ani to see the giant caterpillar. He grunted at Epsilon's answer. Daniel wasn't in the mood to deal with the Hatter, rather he wanted a quick and simple answer. But that was seemingly impossible in the world of wonderland. Daniel asked, "What I I just reverse her time." "Then you will erase her memories between the time she shrunk and now. Also you risk being altered. Oh, wait you two don't know." Epsilon smiled as he continued, "You see Wonderland isn't just some fantasy world. Everyone here was originally from your world. They fell through. I was just an ordinary caterpillar you see. When you use the powers Wonderland gives you, you become bound to this place. Your soul is trapped as your own physique alters. Take the Hatter for instance. He was just another human who was looking for something to fill the void left by his dead wife. Now he doesn't remember that. You see, Wonderland changes you."
Daniel sighed in response to Epsilon. Turning his attention to Ani he said, "We're going to see the Hatter. Hopefully he can help us." With that Daniel began towards the tea party. It was a ways away, but he was traveling fast. Ani was enough trouble normal sized.
Daniel wasn't expecting that from Ani. The question stopped him in his tracks. It was true, he desperately missed his big brother; the guy who would take care of him when his mother was too busy to do so, the guy who'd play with him despite the fact he was 'not cool'. Getting quieter, Daniel replied, "Me, too." He was sad about idea that, Erik's been in Wonderland all these years and never once wanted to come back home.
