IF you can find a copy of this, it's an interesting read. Witch and Wombat Unfortunately, it's the only book she ever wrote.

Thank you.
Christine Warren's The Other's series has some of the books with this premise. One Bite With A Stranger is the first book in the series. Not all of them have it, but some do, so thought I'd mention it.

Thanks for the mention.

I'm already following it.

Also there is the Books of the Cataclysm series, it has the going to parallel worlds thing and its pretty different, its not amazing but still interesting to read.

A Crack in the Line
Ken Grimwood's Replay has the main character experiencing parallel realities.
H. G. Wells Men Like Gods, a classic.
The Great Forgetting sort of features parallel worlds, though not in the traditional quantum physics manner.
Philip Pullman's The Golden Compass series is set in a parallel universe (London, but with magic), but I don't think anyone from our world crosses over.
Stephen King's The Dark Tower series includes occasional visits to parallel Earths, but it isn't a main plot device.
Wikipedia has quite a long list.

Seems like a long time since I read that, but remember that differently: there where at least 3 parallel Universes, one of which was ours, imho.
One (maybe the only?) way to cross from one world to the other (you could say Universes but they stay on Earth) was the knife which gave the second book in the series its title: The Subtle Knife, as it is already the title of the book I do not consider this a spoiler.

That could very well be. It was quite a while ago that I read it and don't remember all the details. Thanks for clarifying!

Thank you.

I've already place a hold for it at my library, I'm the thirtieth in line thanks to the movie that's coming out.
Thank you, Michele.

I love fae and fantasy. Thank you, Luci.

It's available as an e-book if you have a Kindle or other e-reader. Maybe you can get it sooner that way?

Thank you, but I don't mind the wait. It'll allow me to read my other books.

-Mordant's Need by Stephen Donaldson (woman brought to another world through mirror-magic)
-Guy Gavriel Kay's Fionavar Tapestry (first book: The Summer Tree; five Canadian university students are summoned to another world by a wizard)
-Various works by Michael Moorcock, such as The Eternal Champion, which is a send-up of the standard-issue "ordinary human gets summoned to fantasy world, kills evil monsters to save the inhabitants, marries princess" heroic fantasy plot.
-C.S. Lewis' Narnia books (I'm surprised these haven't already been mentioned)

These sound good, thank you.

It's writing starts off a bit rocky in it's paced a bit too quickly, but it's all about going from one magical world to another.
Basically in the center of everything is the Diadem, and around it are rings of worlds. Earth is on the farthest ring, and since it's so far away from the diadem, it has little magic. The closer you get to the diadem, the stronger magic is in the world.
Very interesting premise, and the characters are fun to read, all three being from different worlds and having to work together.
