Sakib (10080) | 36 comments It's 1:04 AM in the night, preparing for my Economics final; although an engineering student, I have minor courses covering almost every discipline. Waiting for when I'll hit the bed and read Grave Peril on my Kindle and eventually after the perilous and dangerous journey with Harry Dresden, a safe and sound sleep...

message 2324: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) Good luck, Sakib!

message 2325: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Uh...that's NOT gonna help you sleep, Sakib. Grave Peril's just gonna make you laugh your ass right out of bed and then you'll be cranky as all Hell at your final because you laughed too much to sleep.

I've gotten used to it more or less(I guess)!

And my exam, is the day after tomorrow... and I'm not reading anything but my textbooks in the pre-exam night...!

The sad part is that I don't get any quite time at all during the day, I mean at all... what can I do!

message 2327: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Good ?, actually, Sakib. Yep....you'll probably crash into bed as soon as all your exams are done and sleep most of the damned day. *wink* I know I did. Only reason I woke up was my bladder.

That's ONE wake up call NO ONE really ignores!

You got that right...

Btw have you read Grave Peril? How was it to you? I'm having kinda mixed feelings up to now... it's gonna hard be hard to write a review and rate it... let's see how it goes till the end...

message 2329: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Yes, I've read it and I thought quite a bit was funny. Especially the jokes about cheesy vampires.

Yeah, Harry is kind of a hardboiled character after all, and every now and then and in every book(even sometimes in dire situations), there are lines like those that brings a bit of smile at the corner of anyone's mouth...

message 2333: by Amber (last edited May 17, 2017 09:24AM) (new)

Amber Martingale 10:51 Listening to High Noon from my Favorites playlist on YouTube @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKLvK... while wading through email and trying to catch up on GR,

Yeah, that's true, Sakib.

*spoiler alert!*He does it in Changes when he says, in narration: Like the professor said: "Meddle not in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger." Then, he figuratively speaking, kicks the damned door off it's hinges and says "Fuck subtle" before charging in to do battle with Red Court vampires...lackeys of the Red Court b***h who kidnapped his daughter...*end spoiler alert*

*spoiler alert #2*This case is one time when he and "Gentleman" Johnny Marcone are in complete agreement.*end spoiler alert #2*

Amber Martingale I'm starting to like it again after having lived in Illinois for 14 years. The Phoenix oldies station played it every three hours every day all year long for the entire time I lived in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and I moved there in 1989 with mom, dad and the dog. Mom and I moved back to Illinois in 2003, Kirsten...you do the math.

Aymen Ben cheikh Thanks Amber.
Thanks Perri I feel a little better but I want to sleep all day because of the meds, I ll see another doctor if it's necessary. About Lisey's Story, I m about to finish it right now and post a review, but I can already say that I loved some parts of the story, but didn t felt other slow and confusing parts. expect a review tonight :)

Took the day off today, having Sky Q fitted.

Now I can watch something different from my wife, and tape more programmes, and watch Ultra H D.

Gardening, so hot and humid today
