I suspect I would need to live to be 147 or so to finish my TBR list. It's a good thing I don't aspire to do so.

Exactly! Why would you want to stop adding? It's a constant sifting process to select, to de-list as interests change, and to be totally open to new genres, works, authors, approaches.... My TBR represents adventure.

Btw, it says 40 years, lol.

I have started routinely taking ten minutes here and there to review and delete some items, de-cluttering, so to speak, but it's a half-hearted effort. I've almost ceased entering giveaways, too, because a fair amount of my clutter comes from those opportunistic adds.

11 years, eh? You've got some room to add bunches then. :)

I am never going to finish them all!

So you and I will have to solve this whole death problem, apparently, because you'll need more than 80 years and I need 40, neither of which is available to us without a technology breakthrough, lol.

Add to my long term reading, I have a stash of fabric to make into quilts that would require me to live to be 200. I either need more time or to better prioritize . . .

if we get that extra 100 years, at least we'll know how to spend it - on quilting and reading.

Starting now. LOL

I'm down with that. Maybe we will find the answer …in a book. Or more likely we'll synthesize it from what we find in many books.

I'm thinking every time scientists decide that reading x number of books adds y number of years to your life, I will read that number of books and use the extra years to read the next number of books that will extend my life.

I'm 78 and laughing along with you. I like the coffin filling idea.

Now this is the best solution yet!

Reading all 89 books will take:
5 years and 2 months
You will finish your TBR pile on:
March 28, 2022
And you will be:
30
I have 89 and it will depend if the library has the book or not. cause sometimes i don't feel like paying the Canadian cost and i don't like buying things online.
Right now I'm reading Daughter of York
and then I have like 3 others after that. Then i'll have to go back to the library to get more.

That's amazing Jenni! I haven't counted all the ones I own but I did just get a few more boxes. It is great that youre children will appreciate your collection!
