Lexi | 4262 comments I prefer to go a stop at a time otherwise it become too automatic.

message 302: by Sam (new)

Sam | 1663 comments Here is a U.

Unbinding- Eileen Wilks- 11/14/16

message 303: by Melissa (ladybug) (new)

Melissa (ladybug) | 1048 comments I agree with Sam.

message 304: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 461 comments If we are not going to use books form baggage, then can I stop adding them to baggage? It is very time consuming. I do keep track of all my books in my own spreadsheet so if we were ever stuck, I could refer to that.

I am hesitant to sign on for this next round mostly because of the time I spend adding books to the spreadsheet.

message 305: by Lexi (last edited Nov 14, 2016 10:46PM) (new)

Lexi | 4262 comments Susan, I add per challenge and only when they fit for the same reason. Others may do it differently, but I see no reason why you couldn't do the same for time reasons.

For Os:
Our Lady of the Ice by Cassandra Rose Clarke

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
Characters: George, Lennie
Letters: O, G, L

message 306: by Sam (new)

Sam | 1663 comments Susan, I don't add any books to baggage. I just put my books in the thread as I read them if they pertain to current challenge. Other books that I've read, I don't even mention here. I say, you can stop putting your books in baggage; we don't really use our baggage, it's just stuff we have to keep track of at the airports. Mine is lost; I think the airport monster ate it a long time ago.

message 307: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) I'm gonna stop my tour here, is that alright? :)

message 308: by Melissa (ladybug) (new)

Melissa (ladybug) | 1048 comments Susan, it is alright to not list your books. I just added it to the spreadsheets from other groups had it and it helped me if a member didn't have a book to read that matched that stop. :)

Irene, that is fine with me. :) Sorry to see you go, and had a wonderful time with you as a travel mate. :) I will miss you!

message 315: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 461 comments I haven't read anything that works with the letters we have left.

I am currently reading a book with MC Owen. Should be finished late Friday or early Saturday.

message 316: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 4262 comments Going with what I think I understand that this is a new challenge, I added the two completed after we started this stop. I put Susan down for O so that leaves G, A, P.

That also makes 5 team members so far.

message 318: by Melissa (ladybug) (new)

Melissa (ladybug) | 1048 comments I went ahead and hide the Economy class sheets. :) They are still there, though, just hidden. I also set up the sheet for overall tracking.

message 319: by Melissa (ladybug) (new)

Melissa (ladybug) | 1048 comments Eunice and Gehna, are ya'll still playing?

Roger - president of NBR United - (roger_presidentofnbrunited) | 612 comments Just in case Eunice and Gehna aren't I have a G that I will finish later today. which would leave us with needing a P only to finish.

message 321: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 461 comments I did finish my o book. Will post it when I get home.

message 322: by Brandy (new)

Brandy (thebacklist) | 167 comments Does your team need another reader?

message 324: by Brandy (new)

Brandy (thebacklist) | 167 comments Awesome!! What do you need covered?

message 325: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 461 comments Hexmaker by Jordan L. Hawk
MC Owen Yates started 11/18 finished 11/19/16

message 326: by Eunice (new)

Eunice | 666 comments I'm still in. Sorry for not replying. I don't have anything at the moment that has a P.

message 327: by Eunice (new)

Eunice | 666 comments Ok. So I searched the baggage right now. There's Valley of The Templar by Paul Christopher for P.

message 328: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 4262 comments If we are going with that the book needs to be finished during the challenge then we still need a P.

message 329: by Sam (new)

Sam | 1663 comments Here is a P.

A Promise of Fire- Amanda Bouchet- 11/19/16

message 330: by Susan A (last edited Nov 25, 2016 04:29PM) (new)

Susan A | 461 comments Green but for a Season - finished 11/22/16

That finishes Porto Portugal, but I don't think everyone playing has a book finished for that word.

The next stop is
2. Malabo (GQ) - Thiruvananthapuram (IN)
or Read a book where the edition you are reading was published on the 22th of a month

I think the GQ is Equatorial Guinea and IN is India

message 331: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 4262 comments It would have been better score wise if we could have got a 6th person (either Eunice or Gehna) but we can move on.

Detour might be fun and random
Spell it out is Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

message 332: by Susan A (last edited Nov 25, 2016 07:02PM) (new)

Susan A | 461 comments I don't mind waiting for the sixth person. We could move things around right? Since everyone currently listed has more than one book, we could be replaced. For example, if Eunice has any of the letters in Porto Portugal, we could put her put in whatever letter she has.

message 333: by Sam (new)

Sam | 1663 comments Oops, I read my Q book earlier in the week. Didn't know we'd need one for this challenge. I don't have another Q book on hand.

message 334: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 4262 comments We can wait if we hear from either that they have a book that might fit anywhere.

Roger - president of NBR United - (roger_presidentofnbrunited) | 612 comments let see I have
More by Sloan Parker
Main Characters Luke Moore, Richard Marshall, Matthew Stewart

So M, S, P, L, R
Read 11/24 - 11/26

The Good Fight by Andrew Grey
MC Jerry Lincooln, John Black Raven
Read 11/23
T, G, A, J, L, B

message 336: by Eunice (new)

Eunice | 666 comments So all the books we read before our new trip started is not included anymore?

message 337: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 461 comments I'm not really sure.

message 338: by Sam (new)

Sam | 1663 comments Here is what the travel agent said about this earlier.,.

My thought was that when you complete your economy trip you all go home, stretch, unpack, have a cuppa and a rest and then start again with brand new empty suitcases :)

But I see from above that Jen's team have decided to use the books from their economy round for their business class round... So I'm going to leave it to the teams to decide.
If you want more of a challenge I think you would start 'afresh'. If you just want to continue each trip like you never left the airport and keep using prior books then you can

message 339: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 4262 comments I vote afresh otherwise the baggage just piles up.

message 340: by Sam (new)

Sam | 1663 comments I like fresh too. Makes it more fun.

message 342: by Melissa (ladybug) (new)

Melissa (ladybug) | 1048 comments Fresh :)

message 343: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 461 comments We are currently on a set of 8 stops. Do you mean that any book read from the start of this new set is good to use, or now that we are starting stop 2, only the books from the start of stop 2?

Also, I don't know when and what to post. I usually read about 10 books per week. But since I am reading Christmas stories, I'm more likely to read about 15 as they are short. I know we don't need my 15 books and its a waste of time to post them all in baggage. Also, I don't want to take all of the spots. I just don't know how many spots you want me to read and what letters.

I don't like that we don't pre-claim the letters. If I make an effort to read a U book, it's rather annoying to find that someone else was also reading a U book and they finished first, making my read useless. If we preclaimed them, then I could read a book we actually needed.

message 344: by Sam (new)

Sam | 1663 comments I think its since we started this trip that we can use books. But, in my opinion, unless it's an unusual letter (like X, Z), we don't really need to save it because among the group of us, we can find one fairly easily.
I have no trouble with us claiming a letter at the beginning of each location, but we have to remember that some of us aren't online as often as others and should get a chance to claim letters too. We don't want to exclude anyone.

message 345: by Melissa (ladybug) (last edited Dec 01, 2016 12:45PM) (new)

Melissa (ladybug) | 1048 comments Maybe if you want to claim a letter, claim one at the outset and see if any more are needed later?

message 346: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 4262 comments I made the new sheet for this next stop. I vote we move on. I think claiming a letter if you want one sounds great. Just put your name on the name line next to the letter (see first post for link). I'm not worried about people not getting letters since for this next one especially, there are lots of letters. Is everyone ok with this?

I'll go ahead and add my most recent book to a letter to start. (I'll also add Roger's one read after Nov. 25th.
