SOLVED. Series about group of girls that have powers. [s]

I read this series in high school so between 2004-2006. It was a YA fantasy series about a group of girls that get powers from a goddess or something and their outfits change when they go out to fight an evil, each girl is an element or color and they shimmer or glow. I feel like the title is relating to the shimmer as well. I remember the covers having girls in cool outfits glowing on them. There was 4-5 books in the series at the time. Please help me find out, it's been bugging me forever.

the girls get power from the moon goddess and fight evil, but they don't transform.

More likely it could be W.i.t.c.h. an Italian comic series bookified for America, they transform and have elemental powers and cool outfits.

If it's neither of those, I sure hope someone finds it 'cause I want to read it!
