If there's plenty of life left in the series, she can write as many as she wants I reckon. But, she wont live forever!
She's 62 now and 1 book every 4 years or so, and healthy living, she could drop at least another 4 or 5 easily!
Then Sam can take over! lol

LOL, exactly opposite to my reaction - "Yes!! they made it" :)

Ending doesn't imply there will be another one though. I feel it completed:)

In MOBY (set in 1778) Jamie is 57 (born 1721) and since Claire is 3 years older than him, she's 60. That likely makes them the world's 'sexiest literary senior citizens.' :-)

Yes, I'd love to hear more about Ian and Rachel who I really came to love in this last book. Great couple.

I don't see how Diana could end this series in another novel. I think it will take 3 more at the slow rate that the stories progress. Maybe if she skips a bunch of years?

Forgot about that! Definitely a story!

I'm happy to keep reading as long as she keeps writing but I don't know how much more story they have in their lives.

I thought the mention in regards to Ian's death was about Jenny's husband Ian, rather than young Ian.

I'm 62 and my 'Jamie' is 65 and we definitely don't feel like senior citizens! ;)

I thought the m..."
Aye, that meant Ian senior.

That is the book I've been hoping for since Brianna tried to imagine Jaime driving down the road wearing a three piece suit. (I think that was in Fiery Cross)

Jamie would be weak in the future and no longer a leader of men. I would hate to see him that way. So I too am glad Diana will never take him there.

I thought the m..."
I thought that too, for a while, but was relieved that it was the older Ian, who was the subject in question! But we already knew he was ill.
Damn! I thought that was the last book! I accepted the endings, as they seemed, though I wished it could go on!

Dont get me wrong, I love the books and I will keep reading for as long as she publishes them but I hate having to wait on books, especially if someone takes this goddamn long to write them... The ending left me with a stupid grin on my face and my impatient little heart wished it would have taken me a few years longer before discovering this series.

Its on the FAQ page of her website, which seems to be down at the moment as I cant access it.

I would love to see more of William's story. There is a lot there to be developed.

I think there definitely has to be another book, there are too many issues to sort out.

It is like Robert Jordan knowing he was dying and chose Brandon Sanderson to finish his series to do it justice. He had a hand in it but I can't see that working for DG.

LOL, exactly opposite to my reaction - "Yes!!..."
Yes and I want to know how
She has already shown a couple of excerpts from her book 9 writing. While I am a big fan of this series I wonder has she ever wrote anything unrelated to this? And I don't mean Lord John.
