Lila Lockhart (lilalockhart) | 4 comments I do believe the title explains itself. ☺

I'm currently reading In the Black and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

In the Black is pleasant so far, though not amazing. It seems like a fairly light read though, which suits me at the moment!

It's my first time reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and I have to say, I can understand why people so often seem to love this series.

In the Black (Tales from the Edge, #1) by Sheryl Nantus Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling

Paul | 1 comments About to finish Plato's Phaedrus. Its really thought provoking and a really easy read, mostly deals with erotic love. Started a new reading list so its all over the place. I have Timaeus and Critias in there somewhere.

I was thinking of reading The Satyricon but I don't know how well I will be able to understand the classics. I've just heard so much about it and am interested in seeing how the Romans write.

So if I struggle with that i'll dive into Notes from Underground & The Double and maybe keep reading Historical Lovecraft on the side. Started that on the plane the other day and its a decent read although I've only read one of the stories. AND ITS GOTHIC

Welcome! I quite enjoyed the earlier books, but haven't tried that one yet.

Lila Lockhart (lilalockhart) | 4 comments I'm currently reading Dark Descent, as I received it as an ARC. It's not amazing thus far, but I'm quite enjoying it, a lot more than I expected. Especially considering that I haven't read the first two in the series.

Mosquitha | 26 comments I just finished to read Caliban' s War, the second book of The Expanse series. It' s quite dark science fiction, lots of horror elements in it and cool characters.

Before that, I gave a try to the book a friend of mine wrote, Accumulation from Buan Boonaca. It' s a book that might be interesting for you as he comes also from the goth scene, and the book deals as well with the gothic subculture, and with tattoos and body modification. It' s a mystery book about a curse, and is filled with very black humour. Think Pahlaniuk meets Kafka.

I am not sure yet what book is coming next, I would like to try something from John Ajvide Lindqvist, (the author of Let the right one in) as I really loved that book, but I am not sure yet which one to choose. Maybe it will be Little Star.

Of course I am glad to receive recommendations.

Mosquitha | 26 comments Ah, L Ron Hubbard... I never tried any of his books, but as a scifi lover I should. Will read this one soon.

Mosquitha | 26 comments Started to read this one...
Little Star

So far is pretty good, although I found the beginning of LTROI more atmospheric.
