Great questions!I am also 99% sure I am going to go with wordpress for my author site/blog. I am too nervous to take the plunge this week but will be facing some of the same issues as you, I'm sure.
I read at least 3-4 books at a time. When I am saturated with one world it feels good to jump into another. I may be reading one book for a review, one book on writing or self-publishing, one book on business and one book for relaxation.
My husband is a huge John Sandford fan. He tells me the books do not have to be read in order but it is best to at least start with a Davenport book before reading any of the Flowers books. But basically he said that is just his preference and should not really matter. Happy reading and happy blogging!

I have one Davenport book and one Flowers book. Should I read all Davenports before starting any from the Flowers series?
What are some of your favorite books?
I use blogger. I've had the website up a little over a year. I like the simplicity and ease.

Like Tara, I often read 3-4 books at a time. Sometimes the reason is that I'm reading a hard copy (print book) and then a book or books on my Kindle. That way I have something to read while my Kindle's charging.Recently I read a couple good books, UnHappenings about time travel, and Someone to Look Up To, a dog story.
The hubs says reading Davenport first will set up the stories better and you can better appreciate and understand Virgil Flowers. He's so excited I asked him about this lol.I absolutely love Laura Kinsale romances - they don't really feel like classic romances because the heroines are always uniquely flawed and realistic and her male leads are challenged and pushed to see the real beauty of the woman, not just the perfect exteriors. Her books are very emotional and leave strong impressions. Flowers From the Storm is by far her masterpiece, closely followed by For My Lady's Heart. Don't let the cheesy titles fool you - these books are not fluffy! I also love Mary Renault because her Greco-Roman fiction will blow you away. The Persian Boy is brilliant. I've read it three times and will read it again this fall. I also love Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte - I'm one of the few who prefer Jane to Elizabeth Bennett. Making Monsters by Joe Turk is a tour de force as is his prequel Breaking the Toys - gripping dystopia that is extremely intelligent, laugh out loud funny at the most unexpected moments and not a formula to be found anywhere.
Hi Megan, I use Squarespace which is simple as Blogger but more powerful and more beautiful. However, it isn't free. If you are serious about blogging though, I would seriously consider the change. Wordpress is popular but hard to master. It's possible to create a decent site on it. I wouldn't recommend it for authors whose strength is writing, not code, design, or plugin searches. Bloggers who have time to figure that stuff out can manage with templates.
However, as an author you need something easy to use like Blogger but looks professional, or at least represents your genre.
I've use all three as a blogger and BY FAR, Squarespace is my favorite.
Like Tara, I am reading the same amount books (3-4) and the same kinds for the same reasons. One for review, 2 to learn from and one for pleasure.

What about the Kidd and LuEllen series? Should those be read in order? I'm definitely less familiar with this series, but they look pretty good!
I use blogger. Recently I set up a wordpress site for a blog I wanted separate from the other stuff, and I still like blogger best. Customizing is so simple. Use google drive forms and you can create any kind of form you want and embed it into one of your blog site pages. Does anybody use Wordpress for blogging?I don't but I know a ton of people who do. Most people I've come across use it and don't seem to have any trouble with it. I once tried to make an page there but TBH I found it hard and confusing, I don't know maybe it's just me. I'm sure you can get some help as I'm sure there's plenty of people on here who use it.
Does anyone choose to read more than one book at a time?
Sometimes. I can barely read one book as despite having plenty of time I just can't get into a rhythm of reading consistently. However, when I do have a good rhythm of reading spirit in me I try to read two books at a time, one physical book and one on my Kindle.
Last thing..Is anyone familiar with John Sandford's books?
I've heard of him but am not all that familiar with his works. If he has a series I'd suggest reading them in order as I'd suggest reading a book in order for any series by any author because it just makes things so much easier.

Just a few random questions that I have for everyone...
Does anybody use Wordpress for blogging? It looks like a pretty good website and decided to start a blog with it. I'm having a hard time including images with my blog posts. The text doesn't appear correctly with the image or the image ends up being too big/small. I looked over the Wordpress help section and I'm still trying to master it. Was just curious if anyone has the same problem or an easier way to do it.
Does anyone choose to read more than one book at a time? I normally don't, but I started a book about a month and a half ago and finally found a book at the library from my to-read list. Now, I'm reading both at once. I'm really into the second book I started and have been neglecting the first. Kinda tough to read them both together. Let me know what you prefer!
Last thing..Is anyone familiar with John Sandford's books? I picked up a few at the little free library and noticed that are certain numbers from a particular series? Do these have to be read in order or am I okay to start reading any of them at any time? I wasn't sure and can't find more information about them.
