I'd love to proof-read your book Bethany! :)
I'm currently translating a book to English, so it really would help if someone could read it and give some tips. I've translated 16 pages, 94 to go (*sigh*), so there won't be a lot to read!
And it's also very informative due to the fact that it's a vision given by Jesus :-)

Thanks Felicity, sorry, I've decided I actually need to change a few things myself first, so I've taken that comment off, as you can see ;) But thanks all the same I'll let you know if I change my mind :)
Oh, I forgot to give an excerpt of it, so here we go:
"When walking on the earth you can find pearls of love, these most beautiful of the beautiful jewels. You look at them with admiration and hoping that one of those pearls would decorate your life. The more you wish for a jewel to come in your life, as a destination for your heart and a decoration on your forehead, the further away you get from the pearl that you may call a pearl. You open windows' of many hearts, to find the pearl you miss. Still – without a result.
Why this? Because the earth is so dark, cheap motives have changed the pure ideals; the filthy people's concepts of the holy matters of friendship and love to materialistic and carnal. They look for their happiness; their so called love - what their thirsty heart longs for - from wrong motives and cheap pleasures."
As you can see, it's non-fiction ;)

Bethany wrote: "Great! Thanks for starting this discussion, Willow, I think it will help writers, especially new ones, quite a lot :)"

Hey Andrea! What's The Call about?

If there are others out there that need a beta reader in the genres of Christian YA (dystopian, adventure, mystery, contemporary), I am willing!
I'd like a beta reader for my Christian dystopian novel. I only have about 3000 or 4000 words written. The synopsis is in another thread, but I could post it here if needed. :)

When this is done and has had a few edit rounds, keep me in mind :D

Halcyon Slavic was raised on lies, and she knows it. Though she’s free to live out her legal, though seriously maligned Christian faith, she has a secret. At night, she watches the sky, tracking the city’s surveillance drones, and relaying information to her dangerous friends. There are things people aren’t allowed to know. When a drone appears at her window, she can only hope it’s not what she thinks it is. She’s not staying around to find out.
To escape the eyes in the sky, she flees to a strange neighborhood, only to become caught between society’s two least-favorite out-groups—drone-snipers and Christians. These two groups aren’t even safe from each other.
Prowling the streets on stormy nights, Halcyon becomes a full-fledged drone-sniper. But the institutionally slandered Christians are trying to get back on the government’s good side. Is it only a matter of time before those who understand her best stab her in the back?

She has a whole section of 'common writing mistakes' that helps answer questions I have when writing.
Please share your work, and get in contact with experienced writers who can read your work, proof-read, and give their option. Everyone needs an editor. Everyone needs another "view" at their work, because often times, you can't see the mistakes in your own writing.
Are you an editor? Do you enjoy giving advice? Being encouraging?
Make sure you give a hand to new writers. Get in contact with one another. Learn with one another. Fellowship a little!
One more thing. If you're a writer looking for an editor/encourager/reader, you can post a synopsis of your book, or give a little excerpt. Be detailed. Tell us what you're doing, what your plans are, what your dreams are.
