lethe | 16359 comments I read in another thread that characters are work-specific and that therefore they should remain in the original language (English in that specific case).

Is this correct? Can I delete the Persian character names from this book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5... ?

I also stumbled upon a series in English for an originally Dutch series: https://www.goodreads.com/series/5992...
Shouldn't the series name be in Dutch, with the English name mentioned in the description?

I'm not seeing a problem with leaving the Persian character names in addition to the English ones. But unless the series has different numbering in English, you are correct here:

There is no official numbering, just publication order. Considering the development of the main characters, keeping the numbering makes sense.

Arenda | 26447 comments I've renamed the series.

And I'm assuming the English editions also aren't broken into a different number of books? (Which would be a reason for a separate series even with no numbering.)

No, just integral translations.
The last two Dutch books have not been translated in English, at least not according to Worldcat.
