OMG you are right! LOL At the top of the book it says, MONUMENT 14 but the cover is literally covered up by this huge white piece of paper that Link+ puts on all its books. I'm SO glad that you told me that! LOL I was on chapter 3 or so...I DO have the first book, so I'll start where I should.

WHAT would I do without all of you? LOL I wondered where days 1-11 went. LOL

My library secured the jacket to the cover making it really hard for me to see the maps on the inside covers :( It made me sad but these books are awesome. Perhaps you and Kathy can join Jaquelyn and I for book 3?

This book is full of action from the get-go! Wow!

Dean: (view spoiler)[ He cracks me up how he's "so in love" with Astrid and yet when she's screaming for someone to help her he freezes. Missed his chance! LOL (hide spoiler)]

Alex: (view spoiler)[He's quite the character, and I think too typical of some of today's teenagers. He didn't cry over anything, not even deaths, until the Internet went out and his minitab didn't work. God forbid! LOL (hide spoiler)]

Natural Disaster: (view spoiler)[ Can you imagine a mega-tsunami that crashes on the East Coast and hits so many states? OMG! I'm glad that the kids saw that on the TV so they can try to protect themselves, but how? (hide spoiler)]

Finished Ch. 10 and OMG!!! This book is FULL of action!

Where do I start? Oh, that one (view spoiler)[CREEPY guy who was trying to get the kids to let him in. He sounded SO disgusting that he made my skin crawl. He was most definitely up to no good! (hide spoiler)]

I couldn't believe that the little kids all (view spoiler)[ got into such a huge fight, and that Astrid was choking Batiste! I think I might have wanted to myself though. LOL The little ones doing that was even more awful than the bigger kids! (hide spoiler)]

Astrid: (view spoiler)[ I think she did a pretty good job up until the choking of trying to keep the kids calmed down and busy. I like her character. (hide spoiler)]

Dean: (view spoiler)[ He also did a good job with the kids for the most part. He was quick on his feet to get the kids marching around to a different part of the store to get away from the CREEP! (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, I was lucky and had a built in novella for .5 in my copy of this one! So awesome!

And this author is so sweet. I couldn't find the 3rd novella on her website so I tweeted her and asked her if she wasn't adding it or whatever. Literally, 5-10 minutes after reading my tweet she went and updated the website so I could read the 3rd novella. :) I thought that was super nice of her to do it right after she saw me ask.

I can't believe all these kids have gone through! This book reminds me of another that I think you buddy read with me and Trisha, and these kids were stuck at their school during a huge storm. I can't remember the name of the book but it wasn't nearly as good!

Little 13 and 14 year old girls with low cut tops and I wonder where the heck her parents are! She is going to stir up trouble...well, she already did, but I mean even more. (hide spoiler)]

I was really scared that when (view spoiler)[ that lady came to the intercom that they were going to let her in and that others would be with her. I wondered what happened to that CREEP!!! He's still there and thinks that is HIS building!?? Oh no! And how come both of them were exposed to the air but nothing has happened to them? Are we to assume it's due to their blood type? He killed her...a HUGE CREEP!! (hide spoiler)]

One thing that I really hate to see is that even good kids get (view spoiler)[caught up in the world of drugs, even if it's "just" prescription or over-the-counter drugs. I wish they hadn't used any at all. It's such a horrible role model, too. (hide spoiler)]
