At first, I thought, no big deal, I'm getting sales & KENP reads, just not getting reviews. Then I ..."New reviews occasionally take a few days to properly show up. This is not affecting your visibility and will likely correct itself soon. The same thing happened to me last year. I had a review that wasn't being counted for a while. Eventually the numbers synced.
Okay - that's good news. My book has just started to gain some traction this past month, so every little bit helps!! Thanks Christina!
Thanks Thomai! Fingers crossed for you as well! Keep working at it - and never lose focus on the reason(s) why you write. That is what will keep you going regardless of everything else! Cheers!
I also find that because some reviews were posted via amazon.com and some via amazon.co.uk the numbers don't always tally.
Amazon reviews are funny like that. One of my work colleagues' wives reviewed my book but the review was rejected - perhaps the algorithm vetoed it due to us living in the same town (for the record, I never actually met her). Yet it quite happily published one by a uni friend, which admits we know each other in the first sentence! All very odd.

I posted a review on a book that I liked, and it was rejected, due to the fact that she 'was a personal friend.'
I told them we weren't, that she was my friend on FB because we met at a conference. But they replied that they believed their decision was correct.

Since they cannot know ALL friends, relatives, associates and colleagues and sock puppets, why bother at all? People make up their own ideas about the credibility of the book reviews.

Has anyone else experienced this?
