Hello! I am in dire need of some help. I once read this amazing book in high school and I can not remember the author, name, or year of publication for this book.

All I remember where these two sisters who lived in a large Victorian style home, and one sister was beautiful and had the power to make others lover her, but had an awful Oder to her. The other sister had the power to freeze time and sue used that power to read books and hide herself.

At the end the house grumbled down and I believe the bookish sister aged and died. Im sorry it isn't much to go on but please help me!

(Also the cover used to have a bunch of rich looking people on a stair case, might have changed over the years
