I would assume they would kinda go mad. Like it would give them a big fever and or a something and then they would kinda go crazy. Like the dog in the telltale walking dead that met Clem. That dog wasn't bitten but I imagine the animals would kinda go full on just crazy if bitten because their bodies cannot handle the virus as 'normal' as the human body. But I dunno xD

I'm sort of going off the walking dead, so not zombie animals but because they're still flesh and blood the zombies still eat them

They never explored the concept in the tv show, but I was always under the impression a bite would kill them (also infect the meat for anyone who tried to eat them) and they weren't reanimated the way dead people were

Hmm I'm not sure about zombies, because they're dead and there's no conscience there they're just a shell, I might release some immunity to some characters at some point though

If we're going based on The Walking Dead, they had anywhere from days to hours before they turned.

Yeah so the bite kills, but not straight away it can take hours to a day before someone succumbs to the fever and sickness and dies and then comes back from the dead.

Everyone is infected, in the sense that anyone (bitten by a zombie or not) will become a zombie if they die
