I planned the most BR I've planned in months this month. But sadly it's holding me back in hangman. I've learned that BR's only work if you're a super speedy reader for hangman. :/

That's definitely true. It also helps to be in the same time zone as the mods lol. I usually finish books in the evening here so then I have to wait until the next morning. Unless I still up super late which I kinda have been. Whoops :)
Same. It stinks.:/I just try to read as fast as I can so I have books around for when the mods are on.

But i am reading wayyy faster than everyone on my HM team, and there are days where i am the only one posting, and i only post one book at a time to see if i can figure it out from that since i have the most books to use. :/
Tati wrote: "We're halfway through the madness!"Yep, feels like we have been playing for longer thou!
Tati wrote: "Does anyone have recommendations for books with N and G?"Gone Girl, Northanger Abbey, Go Set a Watchman or Nil?
Tati wrote: "Does anyone have recommendations for books with N and G?"Geek Girl, Girl Online, the 3rd book for Jackaby comes out the 23rd, it's Ghostly something, Genius the Game, Graceling, Gossip Girl, Gone, Generation Dead, Grave Mercy, Glass Sword (thou i think you were one of the ones who didn't like the series)
Northern Lights, Need, Nightshade, Noggin, Nowhere but Here, Nerve, Not a Drop to Drink
Okay, i need an honest opinion about something, and felt like here would be the best place since we are all "Review" writers. When i write a review for, lets say book 5 in a series, do you think it would be beneficial to link back to my reviews for books 1-4 in the review for book 5?
Here's an example:
for Hunted(book 5) in it's review at the top before i break down all the info on it (like my normal review format) i would put something like:
"Not caught up in this series? Check out my reviews for book 1: Marked 2: Betrayed 3: Chosen 4: Untamed"
Then have the book title be the link back to my review that book...
Sound good, or too much work? Do you think people will actually read the other reviews, or just say screw it and keep scrolling?

I don't really read other people's reviews so I'm not a good person to ask. But I'm on team lazy so even if I did I probably wouldn't read the other reviews unless I was super amazed by the one review. :/
I think it's a good idea. I read reviews when they pop up on my home screen. It might get crowded for the HoN series since there's 12 of them.
Andrea wrote: "I think it's a good idea. I read reviews when they pop up on my home screen. It might get crowded for the HoN series since there's 12 of them."Yah i agree on big series i probably won't do that, maybe just link back to book 1.

Oh well none of my reviews are amazing :/ i feel like i totally fail at writing them, like i'm sure the "likes" i get on them are just someone seeing i posted something and hit "like" i almost never get comments on them. It's very depressing really. :/
Brooke wrote: "Bookbuyer wrote: "Brooke wrote: "Okay, i need an honest opinion about something, and felt like here would be the best place since we are all "Review" writers. When i write a review for, lets say b..."
I feel the same way. But I feel that I have at least improved over the past year and I can also now use gifs which help. :) As long as you either have fun writing them or find them useful in some way that it's at least worth the effort of writing them. :)

I have thought about doing this but the thing that stops me from going through the effort is that I feel like someone shouldn't really be reading a review for the fifth book in a series if they haven't read the first four anyway. I try not to be too spoilery anyway but why would you really read reviews further into a series unless you've read the others?
Carrie wrote: "Brooke wrote: "Okay, i need an honest opinion about something, and felt like here would be the best place since we are all "Review" writers. When i write a review for, lets say book 5 in a series,..."
I read reviews for books that are like 3rd or 4th in a series i haven't even started yet, haha.

And maybe they are seeing if it's worth reading, you know how some series go, great 1st book then it just goes downhill so fast, so maybe they are checking that too.
I think i might just do the book before it in the series. Then it won't look so clogged and if they are thinking about reading the series or the rest of the series, at least they have a few to look at from the same person without having to search for it.
Brooke wrote: "I think i might just do the book before it in the series. I always try to point out if it can be a standalone read or you need to read the whole series so I suppose that would be a good place to send someone to the beginning.
Carrie wrote: "Brooke wrote: "I think i might just do the book before it in the series. Maybe i'm just putting too much thought into this.
I'd say to link all your reviews for the series as I often find myself wishing I could read someone's opinions on an entire series without the hassle of searching for them.
Tati wrote: "Am I the only one already looking for September's challenge?"I check every day, because it's around that time. :)
I'm excited to find out what it is but I don't know how much time I'll have to read because of class :(
Wow really!? After the Top YA and the freebies, I pretty much have been! And even for this challenge haha. I like trying to make the books I want to read fit
Me too, Andrea. And they usually make it pretty easy and flexible with the descriptions. What I would really love is a repeat of Minesweeper. That one was a blast!
Carrie wrote: "Heck I'd just like to finish Hangman but I think my team has quit on me."I feel your pain. I have a team member that has only posted one review, and it's really frustrating.
i feel you guys. my grandma passed last week, and i havent had the time t write any reviews and no one has been posting on the game. i have like 30pts and they all have less than 10pts each :/
Sorry about your grandma Brooke. :( I've had the same here though I have 31 then it's 8/9/3 books read. A couple said they had some done but I've left it for almost two full days for someone to post and nothing.
I wasn't in the city for 3 days, and didn't have my computer with me Carrie, dw I will post them ASAP
The actual title should be sooner than May. I hope the cover will be out by December. Maybe around or before then?
It's getting released on the 6th not May lol maybe then she will say something about it.And omg it was supposed to be a trilogyyyyy :'(
Why are there 6 books+novellas??? I can't do iiiiit >.<
