I think I mentioned it way back at the very beginning. :)

eta: from message 1 "Pick three of your favourite Elvis Presley songs from the list above. If your favourite is not on that list, you may need to offer me a bribe, along with begging and pleading."

Oh I know, I wasn't saying I couldn't pick titles ..... just that it was an easy pick and I need to get around to doing it, that's all :)

Don't forget to report in the reporting thread (Elvis Has Left The Building) when you do finish it.

message 108: by Valerie (new)

Valerie Hmmm, I'm gonna give this a shot. Haven't read the spoiler yet! My favorite Elvis songs from that list are:

Jailhouse Rock
Don't Be Cruel
Return to Sender

message 109: by Valerie (new)

Valerie Oh man...I would pick the 3 Elvis songs that don't match up to a single thing on my TBR! Should have said Blue Suede Shoes lol. I'm gonna have to do some research!

message 110: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59893 comments I hope you find something suitable, Valerie. I thought having people select three song titles would give them enough words to find something.

message 111: by siriusedward (new)

siriusedward (elenaraphael) | 887 comments I was thinking if i had selected jailhouse rock i could have read Rock Redemption by Nalini Singh.which i am rereading anyways.though i dont know the song.and if i will like it. :)

message 112: by Valerie (new)

Valerie Okay, I think I may have found something- I added this book to my TBR on Goodreads a while ago cause I'm a linguistics nerd- would it count? It has rock in the title and it's 352 pages. And it looks like my local library has a copy. :)

In the Land of Invented Languages: Esperanto Rock Stars, Klingon Poets, Loglan Lovers, and the Mad Dreamers Who Tried to Build a Perfect Language

message 113: by Lynn (new)

Lynn | 2974 comments Ok, so I've finally picked my three songs:

Devil in Disguise
(the one Elvis song that I do love)

Can't Help Falling in Love
(Mainly because I adore Lick The Tins cover version of it from the soundtrack Some Kind of Wonderful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-__O...)

Return to Sender

Now to find a book .....

Sorry, it won't work because it's in the sub-title.

Ava Catherine | 4258 comments My songs are "Love Me Tender," "Can't Help Falling in Love," and "The Wonder of You."
I selected "Love Me Tender."
My book is Tender is the Night.

Deborah Pickstone | 529 comments I am not at all an Elvis fan but can name these as my favourites:

Heartbreak Hotel
Jailhouse Rock
Blue Suede Shoes.

Um. That would seem to be the full extent of Elvis tracks that I like. I was pushing myself to find 3......

Books, therefore:

I'm not endorsing it as one of his best but it is funny:
youtube Elvis sings Poison Ivy League

message 128: by Lara (new)

Lara | 1426 comments Thanks Joan! That was cute. It's definitely one of those filler songs used in musicals, but it's still funny.

message 129: by Susan (new)

Susan Guard | 695 comments Alrighty, I picked Love Me Tender, Heartbreak Hotel, and Viva Las Vegas as my three top three Elvis songs.

And since I'm back on a serial killing rampage I've picked Private Vegas to go along with Viva Las Vegas.
