He smiled and started driving. "Have I mentioned that I love the beach?" He asked.
"Well, I'll mention it again," He smirked, "I love the beach."
“More than you love me?” She teased
"Not quite but close enough," he joked.
He smiled and took her hand as he drove.
She folded their fingers and smiled.
He turned up the music a little and then stayed quiet the entire hour to the beach.
She rolled her window down and let the wind blow her hair around.
He turned the air conditioning off and rolled his own window down.
She laughed and bopped her head to the song.
He turned up the volume and started singing, too.
He grinned over at her and then back at the road before they neared the beach.
“Doesn’t look too busy.” She said
He nodded as he pulled into a parking space.
SHe gathered her things and got out once he parked.
He went to the back and grabbed the things they had brought with them.
She put her bag over her shoulder and waited for him.
He walked over, "Where should we sit?"
“Hmm.” She scanned the area. “Not sure.”
He nodded and walked over to the spot he had pointed out.
She put her bag down and unfolded a large towel for then to lay on.
He set the food basket down and helped her with the towel before he sat, too.
She kicked off her sandals and sat with a huff.
He stretched out tiredly and took a seat.
She stared at the water with a small, hesitant smile:
He glanced at her and then scooted closer.
“I...I don’t know how.” She bit her lip.
"You don't know how to swim?" he wondered.
She shook her head and ducked it, feeling embarrassed.
He smiled a little, "I'll teach you."
“Oh I don’t know.” She chewed on her bottom lip.
"Come on," he stood up and held his hand out for her. "We'll do it."
She bit heavily on her lip, unsure.
He kept his hand outstretched for her to take, waiting for her to take it.
