Alex (acobaf) Tell s what you have listened to, and if you recommend it or not! I know I listen to Audio Books all the time now because its an hour commute to work everyday, and I found that I love them! So, tell us what you think!

Alex (acobaf) My favorite Audio book so far was Starcrossed Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1) by Josephine Angelini Amazing bok, and the narrator was awesome! Give it a try!

message 3: by Faith (new)

Faith (teenbookblogger) I enjoy audiobooks but I find that sometime they read a little slow, i can develop information quite fast.

message 4: by Alex (new)

Alex (acobaf) I thought so too, so I always put it on a 1.5 speed, my hubby thinks I'm crazy lol

message 5: by Savannah (new)

Savannah (vannah18) You really won't see me on here... I can't stand audiobooks... I'm a visual person.. so if I listen to it... I have no idea whats going on half-way through HAHA

message 6: by Alex (new)

Alex (acobaf) I was like that, but then it kinda just clicked. I love it, as long as the narrator doesn't suck haha

Exactly. That's the problem with me too.

Becca (becca16) | 198 comments I'm almost done listening to fool moon of the Dresden series and I kinda can't stand the narrator....he's a heavy breather and his voice is kinda flat and it's driving me nuts but it's a good book so....at least it's almost over haha

Alex (acobaf) Hahaha Becca your hilarious. have you tried star-crossed yet?

Becca (becka_anne) I like to listen to audiobooks read by the author themselves - It really adds something to the reading.

Is It Just Me? by Miranda Hart was a fantastic listen. I'm currently listening to Life And Laughing My Story by Michael McIntyre :)

message 17: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Stoolfire Maggot Moon by Sally Gardner was an excellent listen and I'm currently listening to The Program (The Program, #1) by Suzanne Young which is great so far!

Katy H (the_other_katy) I LOVE AudioBooks - with the caveat that that narrator is at least decent and preferably good. I have a habit of using my Audible credits but then finding that downloading the book is too much of an ordeal/hassle with my mega-slow DSL speed (max of 1 MBPS). It's MUCH easier now that I have a Kindle, to just download it there, so hopefully I'll get some more listening done that way! =) @ Becka: That Miaranda Hart book looks great - I'll have to listen to the Audible sample, thanks!

Thus far I've listened to the first 5 books of the Charley Davidson Series by Darynda Jones, as well as A Discovery of Witches, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner and The Crown

I have Sixth Grave on the Edge but am waiting to do that as a buddy-read with my sister. I also have Shadow of Night and The Chalice and have pre-ordered The Book of Life and own several others including The Handmaid's Tale, The Weird Sisters, The Book of Lost Things, and I Am the Messenger to name a few.

The one book I tried - REALLY tried to listen to and couldn't stand was Undead and Undermined. The narrator was just TERRIBLE! I also think it was hard for me, having read the first 9 books in the series, to listen to someone else's interpretation of the characters. The narrator of Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything also sounded obnoxious to me, but that's only my opinion, of course.

Katy H (the_other_katy) Oh, I knew I was forgetting something - I have Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer too!

@ Lauren: The Maggot Moon description cracked me up a little because I have different colored eyes too. Mine are green and brown though I once met as guy with 1 Brown and 1 blue-with-a-brown-splotch eyes.

Lauren Stoolfire Peter and the Starcatchers (Peter and the Starcatchers, #1) by Dave Barry

I'm currently listening to this and it's pretty awesome! Jim Dale is the narrator so you can't go wrong!
