Rachel | 11144 comments Hey ^.^

message 2: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Mature fantasy RP.
In the pack of werewolves to be Alpha [Guy] has to marry first. His parents pick the strongest female from the pack who happens to be [Girl] who he has had a mutual hatred with since childhood. Their marriage is arranged despite this hatred but as time goes on they fall for each other.

message 3: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Did I miss anything?

Also is there anything you aren't comfortable with? I know we said mature but still. So swearing, drugs, that sort of thing. I just don't to make this unnecessarily uncomfortable for either of us.
I'm okay with pretty much anything, there isn't anything jumping out at me that we haven't spoken of already.

Gosh. I feel like I sound so formal xD

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Perfect!!!! So characters?

Rachel | 11144 comments He's great ^.^

Also did you see my question above? The one about what you're comfortable with and stuff :3

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments I don't have any limits, pretty much cool with anything.

message 10: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Okay dokie then. I think that's everything we need to sort before we start.

message 11: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Would you like to do the honors?

message 12: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Sure.
Oh quick question. Are they werewolves that can shift whenever they like?

Should we start with them arranging the marriage? If so should it be a private thing (aka just the two families) or a whole pack thing?

message 13: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Yes and sure, I'd say private then announced to the pack?

message 14: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Okay. I'll start then ^.^

message 15: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie paced in her bedroom as her parents spoke with Mr and Mrs Tryst. She really hoped this was just a social call and had nothing to do with what she thought it did. She had heard that Ian was looking for a wife, as was expected of the future Alpha, but she hadn't worried because there was no way he would marry her. What she hadn't realised was that his parents were involved. Soon she heard her mother calling her name, summoning her down to the living room. Reluctantly she left the sanctuary of her bedroom and went down to greet their guests.

message 16: by Weeds or Wishes? (last edited Jul 06, 2016 12:19PM) (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian sat in the living room with his parents and hers. What he didn't understand is why he didn't have a say in any of this! His parents were doing all of the talking for him. With his head in his hands, he heard Ms. Roberts calling for Mackenzie. He looked up slightly, Seriously!? he asked himself, as if this chat weren't awful enough, the lucky lady herself got to join in, well sit in on the conversation between their parents.

message 17: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie stopped and fixed her hair before she walked into the living room. She didn't need to give Ian anything else to be annoyed about when it came to her. She smiled pleasantly at the three of them before turning to her mother with pleading eyes. Her mother told her that they were discussing Ian's marriage and then gestured for her to sit between herself and her father which Kenzie did with obvious reluctance. She looked over at Ian's parents, waiting for them to explain as her mother had said they would.

message 18: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian refused to look at her, just continuing to look down, "Morning Mackenize," Ms. Tryst smiled, "As you know it's about that time for Ian to step up as the Alpha of our pack, but to do so we want to make sure he as a strong female by his side. After much observation and discussion, we've decided that you're the perfect fit!!" She said excited before Mr. Tryst took over the conversation, "You're young, strong, beautiful, and one of the best hunters, we believe that it would benefit the pack if you stepped up and took this leadership role we are suggesting. Our family will pay for the wedding and the honeymoon, as our thank you for taking this position." He said. Ian had to really bite his tongue, they were saying all of this so she couldn't say no. Ian knew he had no say in it, he had already tried to convince his parents to go with anyone else.

message 19: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie winced at her full name. Her mother only ever called her that when she was in trouble. Something which happened more frequently than you might think for an adult. The perks of living with your parents still. She sat on her hands to avoid biting her nails. No. I won't marry your son. I can't stand him. He hates my guts. The words were on the tip of her tongue but yet she couldn't say them. Being asked to marry the future Alpha of the pack was a huge honour and the shame that her family would if she refused was unthinkable. Also the thing was practically set up already, what she answered didn't matter, asking her was just to be polite. Finally she nodded, looking at Ian as she said, "yes, I'll take the position."

message 20: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian looked up at her, "Yes!?" He accidentally said out loud, and mentally cursed looking back down for a moment. His parents smiled widely, extremely excited, starting to discuss wedding plans and everything. Ian looked over at his parents, then hers, then stood, "I hate to interrupt, but I'd like to take a moment to speak with my fiancé if that's okay," he said, his fake smile looking terrible, and offering Kenzie his hand. He then looked at her, despite the fake smile, he tried his hardest not to glare at her.

message 21: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie might have been grateful to be pulled away from their parents but seeing Ian's pathetic forced smile she wasn't sure going with him was a more preferable option. Regardless she took his hand and stood up. She led him silently out of the living room, along a corridor and into the dining room. The moment they were alone she let go his hand and crossed her arms over her chest.

message 22: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian followed her and snatched his hand away, folding his arms over his chest, "Fuck you!" He whispered, "All you had to do was say no and suggest Sabrina or something, anyone!!" He huffed not very happy at all, he had broken a record, 3 years of not speaking to this little bitch and he hated that he record was now broken, but what he hated more was the circumstance.

message 23: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie glared at him. "No I couldn't. The marriage is set, asking me was just a formality. I could have suggested every other girl in this pack and it would still be me your parents picked." She argued making sure to keep her voice hushed. "If I had said no and they actually listened do you have any idea who how that would ruin my family's reputation and respect?!" She snapped and then turned away from him so she wouldn't punch him. She walked over to the window and leaned her head on the window pane. She had to marry this jerk.

message 24: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian ran his fingers through his hair and huffed, "Why do you have to be so good at everything? I swear my parents love you more than me." He sighed and leaned his back against the wall, leaning his head back on it as well. Staring up at the ceiling, he mumbled, "I suggested every girl in our pack... Anyone but you. I practically begged..." He sighed and looked over at her.

message 25: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments "Gee thanks." Kenzie snapped and stepped back to glare at him. She knew he didn't like her and she certainly didn't like him but he didn't have to be so rude about it. She turned away from him again and took a deep breath. Everything his parents had said about her was true and she was being arrogant about it, it was just common knowledge. She raked her fingers through her hair and started pacing again, the constant movement helping to keep her from freaking out. She wasn't an undesirable girl, she had had plenty of boys asking her out. If only she had said yes to at least one of them, maybe she wouldn't be in this situation.

message 26: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments "Oh come on, don't tell me you'd do the same if you're parents said, "Hey Kenzie!! Marry Ian!!! He's so handsome and brave and muscular-" he stopped himself from rambling on. He sighed and shook his head, "There has to be a way out of this..." Ian said softly, looking back down at his feet, putting his hands in his pockets.

message 27: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie sighed and stopped pacing. She pulled out one of the chairs from the table and then sat down. She put her head in her hands. Why did it have to be her who married him? She didn't deserve this. "We should probably go back before they come looking for us." She muttered into her hands, not making any effort to get up yet.

message 28: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments "C'mon." Ian sighed and nodded toward the living room. He wasn't even sure how this mutual hatred started, he just remembered never liking her, and her not liking him either. As they grew older he learned just keeping his distance was the best way to not have to come in contact with her and as much as he'd like to run from this problem, he knew he couldn't.

message 29: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie looked up and then stood. She walked out and went back to the dining room, walking ahead of him. She wasn't really the type to cry, not for any reason other than she just didn't cry much. Only when something really hurt or upset her would she cry. As she walked back to face her parents she couldn't ever remember a time when she had wanted to cry more than she did right then.

message 30: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian sat back down next to his parents, holding his hands together looking down at the ground and after the longest 15 minutes of his life, his parents finally decided they had overstayed and needed to head home for dinner. Ian was relieved and followed them out, giving the Robert's a silent wave as they left.

message 31: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie sat and stared at the floor. It looked like she really was getting no say in her wedding. Her parents were organising everything. Call her cliché but she had always dreamed of a perfect wedding day but all hopes of that happened were gone. When the three of them finally left Kenzie put her head in her mother's lap and cried hard.

message 32: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian sighed while his parents went on and on telling him everything they expected of him when it came to Kenzie. He was now responsible for her health and wellbeing and her happiness when honestly he didn't want to care... He wanted to continue living his own life, away from her. He sighed and went back to his place once his parents made it home in time.

message 33: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie begged her parents to do something to change this but they wouldn't do it and accused of being an ungrateful, stroppy teenager. She gave up and went up to bedroom. She considered running away but that would only encourage the idea that she was acting like stroppy teenager. Besides running from a pack of wolves wasn't the best idea. Instead lay in her bed, wishing she could change this.

((Do you want to skip to when they announce it to the pack? :3))

message 34: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments ((Sure!!))

What's worse than your parents announce that you're marrying your enemy to your entire pack? Your parents making you do it yourself. Ian was dressed nicely, he had on dress slacks with an evergreen button up shirt and a nice blazer on. He stood on the porch with a bouquet of bright blue roses, ringing the doorbell of Kenzie's home.

message 35: by Rachel (last edited Jul 06, 2016 03:22PM) (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie had been forced into a green dress that hugged her curvy figure. The neckline did stoop down to her cleavage but not much, the dress was overall very modest but - thankfully - only went to her knees. She had curled her hair and put on makeup. Once she was done she walked down the stairs and let her mother fuss over her while they waited for Ian. When the doorbell rang she was pushed towards the door. She rolled her eyes and pulled open the door to see Ian in a shirt the same colour as her dress. "I hate you." She directed the comment to her mother and then walked off inside the house, leaving Ian standing in the doorway. She didn't know where she was walking off to but it was certainly not to announce her engagement to her pack.

message 36: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian conversed with her mother for a few moments offering her the roses, trying to be nice, she didn't want this anymore than he did, but he knew it had to be done. Not only is it what their parents wanted, but what the entire pack wanted. He sighed and called to Kenzie, "We're gonna be late!!" He knew she didn't care, honestly he didn't either, but he wasn't going to leave a bad impression on his pack.

message 37: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments "I'm not going!" Kenzie shouted back from her bedroom. Despite her statement she knew she would end up leaving her home on Ian's arm - more likely by his side - to go to what was basically her engagement party. How could they expect her to marry someone who hated her? She managed to hold herself together so she wouldn't smudge her makeup.

message 38: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments After asking permission, Her mother allowed Ian upstairs to her room. "I do have to say, you clean up really nicely Ms. Roberts." He half joked and leaned against the doorway, "Look, no one hates this more than me, but I don't want you to be absolutely miserable. The less miserable you are, the less you'll have to bitch at me about." He admitted. So everything is going to be done the way you want it. Okay? Even this thing today, all your favorite food, music, decorations." even though all of this was true, he was only saying it as nicely as he was because her mom being a werewolf and all, she was probably listening or could atleast hear.

message 39: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie gasped in shock when she heard Ian speak. She had been too distracted to notice him coming up the stairs. "Thanks." She mumbled and turned to look at him in her doorway. He did look really handsome and that was only emphasised by how nice he was being for a change. She could almost understand why he was so attractive to other girls. "So you're saying I'm going to be able to plan the wedding?" She asked, perking up a little. It was petty and she knew it but the thought really did make her feel better. If she had to do this she at least wanted to do it to her liking. "Or will I just get to say what I like and our parents will do their own version of that?"

message 40: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian shook his head, "No, your pick, our parents will just be paying for it." He assured her, "Now, we are really running late, so now can we go and try to enjoy whatever food your mom said was your favorite?" He half joked. Seeing a smile on her face honestly kind of shocked him. Sure, he hated her guts, and he was a total ass most of the time, but not all of the time. She had a lovely smile, and the dress suited her very nicely. Most of his attitude was changed by the chat he had with his mother the night before, but he realized that if he didn't embrace these moments, they'd be even worse. Ian offered her his arm and pursed his lips.

message 41: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie smiled and then nodded. She stood up and stopped by her mirror to fix her appearance before going over to Ian. She hesitated before she took his arm. It didn't feel right but that didn't matter. The rest of the pack had to believe that they were a couple that would work out. That wouldn't happen if she was standing as far away as she could get.

message 42: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian gave a small smile then led her out to his car, giving his mother a wave as they left. When the front door shut, he let his arm go and got into the car. He sighed as he shut the car door, "I suck at acting but I guess it's time to get through this is quickly as possible..." He admitted then put the car in reverse.

message 43: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie walked out with him and then couldn't help but feel a little hurt when he dropped her arm. She got in the car and shrugged. "Just smile and pretend I'm someone else." She said in an attempt to be helpful. She pulled on her seatbelt and looked out of the window. She couldn't stand Ian and she knew he hated her too so she knew hoping to marry someone that loved her was ridiculous. Yet she couldn't let go of the idea.

message 44: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments "What if I disappeared...?" He asked softly as he drove towards his house. "If we go through the whole marriage process and I just disappear maybe while hunting or something, you'd be th alpha female on your own and could do whatever you wanted." He suggested, ignoring the fact that he had been waiting for this day all his life.

message 45: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie looked over at Ian and frowned in confusion. "That's hardly fair on you though. I mean I know this sucks but is it really that bad you would give up everything?" She asked and then brought her hand to her mouth, biting her nails as she looked away again. "If either of us disappears it should be me. I don't know how to alpha female, I never wanted that." She murmured.

message 46: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian rolled his eyes, "You never wanted to the alpha female? That's every girls dream in our pack!! If any other guy asked you, would you turn it down?" He asked, glancing at her then back to the road, "It's clear Kenzie, you're family has never been a part of this Royal line, mine has ruled this pack for centuries. It's best if you stay." He said pulling into his driveway.

message 47: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments "Well clearly I'm not every other girl. It's so restricting, too public. Probably not and for the same reasons I couldn't turn you down." Kenzie leaned her head on the window and dropped her hands into her lap. "That doesn't make any sense. Why do you disappear when it's your family that are the rulers?" She turned to him, ignoring the house and the signs of life coming from inside it. She didn't want to do this.

message 48: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments "I didn't choose this. I've never gotten to choose anything, it was always chosen for me. Like you for example. I don't want to live the rest of my life like that... Plus, wouldn't you rather be with someone you actually live? Some who would be excited to provide you with a home and children?" Ian asked, "I sure as hell would..." He sighed and looked at the house, "Let's just get this over with..." He said softly, I fastening his seatbelt. This wasn't his choice, he had to do this, he had to match her and had to bring her here, and had to be affectionate towards her, "So are we locking arms or holding hands?" He asked her.

message 49: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie took a deep breath and let his words wash over her instead of letting them in. If she thought about them too much she would only get more upset. She got out of the car and smoothed down her dress, trying to give the appearance of being happy and confident. "Holding hands. I'm less likely to bite my nails." She decided when he gave her the option.

message 50: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian gave a single nod and smiled a little, trying to make it not look as fake as it was. He just kept telling himself that he would get a bit of wine so the thought of alcohol would perk him up. He took her hand gently and opened the front door while pretty much the whole pack cheered for them. Ian laughed softly and smiled at Kenzie.
