Rachel | 11144 comments "Honestly I don't want to know anything." Kenzie admitted, letting the act drop. It was too much to try keep it up all the time especially when it was only the two of them. "But it's going to be weird marrying you without knowing much about you. So I feel like I should know more." She shrugged. "Does that make sense?"

message 102: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments He chuckled nodding, "100%." Ian assured her, "You hungry?" He asked, depending on her answer would depend on his resturant selection. The day wasn't that great, but he was trying to keep an open mind. He'd be stuck with the poor girl for the rest of his life, he might as well try to be friends right? That's when he decided he would change and not be his normal assy self. From this moment on things would be different.

message 103: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie looked over at Ian and nodded. "Yeah I am." She said softly. It was then that she noticed he wasn't driving towards her house. She put the two things together and guessed that they were going for food somewhere. That was a relief. The less time she had to spend at home the less time she would have to answer her mother's never ending questions about the party.

message 104: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian decided to head out to a more fancy resturant, I mean technically this was their first date, and why not, they were sure dressed for the occasion. "You like Italian?" He asked as they pulled up to the fancy resturant. By the time they got there, the sky was a light purple, the sun had just barely set and the light from the sun and the moon filled the sky.

message 105: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments "Is there anyone who doesn't?" Kenzie asked and looked at Ian with a small smile. She glanced out the window and her eyes widened a little. This was definitely more fancy than she expected. This place was date material, not somewhere to grab a bite to eat on your way home. She looked up at the sky as he parked the car and smiled to herself.

message 106: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian smiled a little, "This is my favorite resturant." He informed her, leading her inside. He held the door for her, with a small smile. The waitress then led them to their booth and he slid inside, looking over the menu, though he already knew what he wanted, "Have you ever been here before?" He asked.

message 107: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie followed Ian inside and then sat down. "Oh cool." She nodded at the bit of information he gave her. "Uh once before. It was lovely. I just never had a reason to come back." She told him and smiled a little as she thought of the last time she was here. She looked over the menu, trying to decide what she wanted.

message 108: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments After a few minutes of scanning the menu, he set it down and watched her. Ian followed her deep brown eyes and pursed his lips, unsure of what to think. Every time he had looked in them he saw hate staring back, which may have been why he hadn't ever taken the time to admire their beauty. "So when you came here that one time, what was the special occasion?"

message 109: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie looked up from the menu and to Ian. "It was a date with my at the time boyfriend." She told him softly and then bit her lip. She looked down at the menu again, trying to decide what she wanted. "Is there anything that you would recommend?" She asked, changing the subject because she didn't want to talk about her ex.

message 111: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments ((OMG THANKS SO MUCH!!!!! SOOOO SORRY!!!!!))

Ian nodded, understanding. "I'd hate to look soft, but the 5 cheese ziti is amazing. My favorite dish on the entire menu." He said with a small laugh. The lighting was dim, soft accordion music played in the background, and the chatter was soft, and honestly he just found it relaxing here. Relaxation was what he needed at the moment, and this was one of his favorite places to get it. Sure it wasn't the cheapest, but the food was worth the price.

message 112: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments ((Oh it's okay. Don't worry about it ^.^))

Kenzie nodded. "So is that what you're gonna have?" She asked and looked at the menu again. She would feel weird ordering the same thing as him but there was just far too many options on the menu and she was too tired to know what she wanted really. Right now she would eat anything so she just put the menu down on the table and then looked back at Ian.

message 113: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments "No, I'm going to order the spinach chicken dish." Ian said, "Is that weird?" he asked. he felt like it was a girl thing to know exactly what you wanted to order at your favorite restaurant. He would never admit it, but he practically had the menu memorized. It was a tradition that every Friday night, his family would go out for dinner, and they took turns as to who chose what they were eating. Ian always chose Little Italy, and the menu hadn't ever changed.

message 114: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie relaxed and then closed her menu, deciding she would have the cheese ziti after all. "No, why would that be weird?" She asked with an amused look on her face. Her amusant was replaced by a frown when a bit of her hair fell down into her face. Despite all the hairspray and various other hair products she had used it still did that. With a resigned sigh she lifted her hand and tucked it behind her ear only for it to fall back in her face again barely a minute later.

message 115: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian smiled at her stubborn hard and shrugged, "I don't know... Just makes me feel weird that I know I guess." he said, "What would you like to drink?" he asked softly, watching as her hair fell back into its place infront of her face. Thats when Ian decided to take a moment to observe her hair, and really appreciate it. The color was brown, not a dark or light brown, just plain and simple. She pulled it off well, it matched her chocolate eyes.

message 116: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments "Is wine okay?" Kenzie asked him. She wasn't sure how they were going to pay the bill but if he insisted on paying it she didn't want to feel rude and just take the more expensive options which was why she asked. She gave in to her hair and got out a hair tie from her handbag. She then scooped her hair up into a ponytail at the top of her head. It wasn't ideal but it stopped the curls falling in her face or, even worse, into her food.

message 117: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian chuckled softly, "Sounds perfect, but aren't you under-aged?" he said arching a brow. The waitress then came over and asked for their preferred beverage. Ian answered for the both of them, giving her a small smirk as he ordered the fanciest sounding wine he saw on the menu he had just glanced at. He figured he would pay for their meal, and even if he didn't, his parents would. those two were hellbent on getting Ian and Kenzie married, and he knew it.

message 118: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments ((She isn't in the UK xD I always forget it's a different age for drinking >.<))

Kenzie smiled at Ian at his question. She didn't answer as the waitress came over and he ordered a bottle of wine for them both. It sounded fancy but she didn't really know what it was. So she looked at the menu to see what it said about it. Once the waitress left she looked back at Ian. "I'm only underage for another month or so." She told him as if that was a perfectly valid excuse. She gave him a smile and then shut her menu, having decided that she was definitely having the cheese ziti.

message 119: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments ((OMG xD hahahaha didn't even take that into consideration... wedidnt even establish a specific setting xD))

Ian laughed softly, "So it's okay?" he joked and shook his head, "So what are you having?" He asked as she set the menu down on the mahogany table, his eyes meeting hers, glancing out the window for a breif moment, then back to her eyes. His stomach rumbled silently, but Ian could feel it and he let out a sigh due to his hunger.

message 120: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments ((I just assume it's America somewhere because that tends to be where more of my RP partners are from. xD We can have it wherever though. ^.^))

"Obviously." Kenzie joked back and smiled when she got him to laugh. Whether it was with her or at her she didn't know but he had laughed because of her anyway. He had a nice laugh. It was warm and easily a sound she could listen to for longer. "I'm gonna have the cheese ziti because I'm too tired to try decide on anything else and that sounds really good anyway." She told him and then met his eyes with hers.

message 121: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments He smiled as the waitress brought them their bottle of wine and two flutes. The smile then turned to a devilish grin, knowing Kenzie was hoping for a taste. The waitress popped the top and poured some for the both of them, and left soon after. "Yummy." Ian said, pulling the glass flute closest to her toward him with a small laugh.

message 122: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie thanked the waitress and then watched what Ian did. "That's not funny." She told him thought unlike any other time she had said that to him she had a smile on her face. She hoped he was only messing with her and that he would actually give over her glass of wine but there was a part of her that worried he wouldn't. That part of her caused a slight frown to form on her otherwise relaxed face.

message 123: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments ((Boop ^.^))

message 124: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian took a sip from her glass then moved his infront of her, "Yours had more." He chuckled then set the glass down. He loose red his head and shook it slowly, "My mom wants us married by the end of next week..." He said and chewed his lip, looking back up at her, "She expects us to be glued to eachothers side until then." He sighed

message 125: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie took the glass and sipped her wine. At his words she choked on it. "Next week?!" She repeated with wide eyes after she had recovered. "Why does it have to be so soon?" She asked, obviously upset over this news. She hadn't expected that, she thought she would have more time to cope with it all.

message 126: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments "Because it's almost time for the big hunt." He said. Every year at around this time, the entire pack got together and hunted for all of the prey they possibly could. Ian viewed it as a game, the most meat he brought, the more superior he was to the rest of his pack mates. "Mom wants you to lead it." He added and ran his fingers through his hair.

message 127: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments "What? Why? Why can't you do it?" Kenzie asked, her voice getting higher with every word. The thought of leading the hunt on top of getting married at the end of next week was too much. She lifted her wine and took a large gulp, trying to find something that would make this easier to cope with.

message 128: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian chuckled as she gulped down her wine, understanding get stress. Leading the hunt was a big job, and if it failed, it fell back on the leader, "Are you kidding me?" He asked and sat up straighter, "You're one of the best hunters in our pack! Why wouldn't she want you to lead it?" He asked with a smile. "Plus, everyone would expect me to lead it since I'm stepping up anyway, but you'd make things interesting."

message 129: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments "But what happens if something goes wrong? It's all my fault then. Something always goes wrong when I have to lead important stuff." Kenzie told him and then started to bite her nails as her nerves got the better of her. She had made it through the entire night without doing so but this was too much.

message 130: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian reached across the table and pulled her hand away from her mouth, "Stop. When has anything ever gon wrong in a big hunt? Everyone can smell the traps, everyone knows the forest, and everyone knows what they're doing. Especially you." He assured her, not wrong is anything he stated. "I know it's a lot... Believe me, it's not a light load for me to carry either. But I'm trying to have faith that everything will eventually work out, or turn out the way it's supposed to..."

message 131: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie looked up at Ian, not feeling anymore relaxed about this. "So we have to be married by the end of next week?" She asked, dropping the topic of the hunt for now. "How are we supposed to be comfortable enough with each other for that? Even with someone I wanted to date that's pretty fast to have gotten to the stage where kissing isn't awkward. We can't have a wedding without a kiss."

message 132: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian sighed, running his fingers through his hair when he mentioned the kiss. We hated the thought of having to kiss her but they both knew it wasn't an option. He took a large sip of his wine and sighed, "Shut up you're stressing me out and I'm trying to keep us both sane!!!" He said and sighed. "I don't know how we are going to do this..." He admitted, "But we're gonna pull it off. And after the hunt, I'll figure out a way out of this." He said as the waitress brought their food, though Ian wasn't cvery hungry anymore.

message 133: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments "I'm sorry." Kenzie sighed. "You're just the only person who I can talk to about any of this." She laughed dryly at her words. That had to be some sort of cruel joke, the person she couldn't stand the most was the only person she could confide in. She thanked the waitress and then toyed with her cutlery. She was hungry still but she had lost all motivation to eat. The thought was exhausting with all the stress she now had.

message 134: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments It was odd, but true, the only person either of them could go to about how they feel were eachother, and it made Ian feel trapped. He hated it but was still trying to have an open mind about the whole thing. "It okay, I understand..." He said, "How about I pick you up for breakfast of your choice, then go home and put together the whole wedding with our moms.

message 135: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie nodded. "Yeah okay." She said softly and forced herself to stop stressing. "Can we try avoid talking about weddings and hunts and whatever else now?" She asked him softly. "Maybe instead we could try get to know each other a bit?" She suggested and then bit her lip.

message 136: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian nodded and took a long slow sip of his wine, "What are your goals in life?" He asked, looking into her eyes. He was honestly curious, everyone knew it was the husbands job to do whatever it would take to make those goals a reality. He was curious to know if he would have to, too. He figured it was good information to have just in case.

message 137: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie took a drink of her own wine before answering his question. "I want to travel and see as much of the world as I can." She told him softly, trying to relax as she opened up at him. "Then it's just the usual, cliché things. Get a good job, live in a pretty house, that sort of thing." She gave a shrug and took a other drink of wine. "What about you?"

message 138: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments He shrugged, "I don't really think about that stuff..." Ian lied. The only thing he had looked forward to in his life was a wife who loved him and raising a family. Him being the way he was, he would doubt anyone would believe him, but it was the truth

message 139: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie didn't know him well enough to know when he was lying and so didn't notice it. "Okay." She said softly and then decided to start eating before her food got cold. She knew she should say something else to keep the conversation flowing but she didn't know what.

message 140: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian slowly started eating, he went from starving to having no appetite at all, just talking about the wedding. "What's your dream job?" He asked with a small smile then took a bite of his food

message 141: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie finished chewing what was in her mouth and then looked at Ian. "I was thinking about doing something in interior design, though I can't decide what part to focus on or anything." She told him, just letting the words spill from her mouth. It was easy to do if she just imagined she was talking to someone else. "Then I keep changing my mind about what I want to do in the first place so I have no idea." She added and then shrugged. "If I can get a job that means I don't have to wake up early in the morning then that works for me."

message 142: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian chuckled softly, nodding as she spoke. "Makes sense." He said and took a bite of food and once it was swallowed, he answered the question himself, "I'd want to be a chef." He said with a small smile, "I've always loved cooking and to be able to do that and get paid for it would be an amazing opportunity.

message 143: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie was surprised by that but didn't say so. "That's pretty cool." She told him and smiled. "So what's the best meal that you can make?" She asked, glad to have found an interest of his that she could ask questions about. She genuinely wanted to try get to know Ian. If they got to know each other maybe they would start to like each other. That was what she hoped anyway.

message 144: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian chuckled a little, "I can make the best steak you've ever had in your life!" He promised with a wide grin. Cooking was kind of his safe haven. No one knew about it until now and that's where he turned to when he needed an outlet.

message 145: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie smiled at Ian's grin. She was surprised to find how much she really loved to see him happy. "Yeah? You'll have to prove that for me sometime." She told him, a little jokingly with a faint pink tainting her cheeks. "I can't cook for shit. I always burn things or it goes wrong. Mom banned me from the kitchen once it was that bad." She said softly and then sipped at her nearly empty glass of wine.

message 146: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian laughed, "So little miss perfect burnt the Mac-n-cheese?" He teased her. He started eating his dish and looked back up at her, this was weird. For the first time ever, Ian didn't mind her company. She was actually nice to talk to, and he liked their conversation.

message 147: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie giggled and then went back to eating her meal. She felt his eyes on her and glanced up to confirm her suspicions. "What is it?" She asked curiously as she met his eyes. He had an odd look on his face and she had no idea what that meant. Had she done something wrong?

message 148: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments Ian watched her carefully unsure of his feelings toward her. He didn't want this wedding, he didn't like her, he didn't want any of this. However, a small part of him wanted to give her a shot to see what she'd do with it. "Nothing." He said when she looked back up at him, his head turning down to look at his food as he took another bite.

message 149: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Kenzie let a frown grace her features but didn't push it. "Alright." She said and then shrugged, trying to appear indifferent. She went back to eating, giving that her full attention because of how damned good it tasted.

message 150: by Weeds or Wishes? (new)

Weeds or Wishes? | 2109 comments "How is it?" He asked, refilling her glass then put the bottle back in the cooler, feeling the alcohol starting to settle in. Ian was going to try to not drink anymore so he could drive home, but after thinking it over, he'd need a cab to drive him with as much as he's had anyway. Carefully he poured himself another glass.
