Sounds like one of Lora Leigh's Breeds books. Maybe
I know, it does sound similar, but unfortunately, it isn't :(but thanks anyways
I don't remember one of Laurann Dohner's that fits this specifically but she's the other author I know of with a big 'breeds' series going. Her's are New Species and it starts with Fury which doesn't fit but one of the later ones might be closer to what you remember.

They are half human half animal. And no it's not from the New Species series, i tried going through all of them :(I was so sure it was from the Breeds series, but i just cant seem to find it.
Could it have been Wolfe's Hope? That one has the same sort of premise as Aiden's Charity, the h is the daughter of one of the Breed scientists/doctors and when the mom figures out the h has mated with the H she experiments on her. Also sets it up to look like she betrayed the H so they'd be parted. When the H finally comes back around he has to come to terms with being mated to her. It's a short story though, not a full length book.
Umm, no :( , i tried going through all the breed series books, but i can't find it. there was a part there, were the head of the breeds shows the main guy a video tape, where the main girl is being taken to be experimented on because she found out the breeds were being tortured, and she protested. After seeing the tape, that's when the main guy knows that the girl didn't betray her. And in the start they were rescued at the same time from the labs.
Hm. Sounds a bit like the plot of one of the Underworld movies, with the vampires and the lycans. Maybe they did a novelization of it?When did you read this, and do you recall if it was it a new book at the time?
I read it in the last year, sorry but i can't remember if it was new or not. Shouldn't be that old though.
