I'm looking for a YA fiction book circa maybe 2003 or so. I believe it is called Jericho but I can't find it anywhere. There are three characters who are sisters. I think the oldest is named Delia and another is Lucy, but I can't remember the name of the protagonist. It's told from her point of view starting when she is very young and her older sister (Delia I think) gets sent away because she gets pregnant (implied). Later she goes to work for a woman in town as a maid and she meets the woman's nephew (Ferdinand? Armind?) and they develop a crush-type thing. She plans a party for the woman and at the party Lucy dances cheek-to-cheek with him (I specifically remember that wording) while the main character is saying goodbye to guests. He proposes to Lucy and we're all sad for the protagonist. Lucy basically tells her sister not to spoil her wedding by being sad. The main character ends up married to a way less glamorous but kind man (name starts with an L, maybe?). They have a life and have kids, etc., while Lucy got what the main character wanted; but then it turns out Lucy can't have children and is jealous of her sister. That's basically what I remember. At one point they are stretching lace curtains, I think.
