Not starting anytime soon...

Me too. Ughhh! Why are you bringing up all the great books together, Abby? :P
Let's do Legion next week. A bit busy this week.
Abhay, nothing drastic It his week, but as usual,I am reading multiple books. I would be fine with starting on Tuesday or if you are reading something elsewhere postponing it for a couple of weeks or months. Am flexible with my reading.

Okay!
This thread is becoming my 2nd Shack somehow. :P
he he...
I wander through so many varied shacks daily...sometimes I lose count :-P
And mine own lies neglected :-P

Lol! Don't worry, you got the moderator ticket. Its your duty to keep an eye on all threads.. :D
Btw, Legion (fantasy) and you? Is this Manju's doing? :P

Its different, you'l like it. More of an urban fantasy and its a short book.
I am anti Sherlock. I don't like him much, though I have read all his books repeatedly in my teens.

The Hound Of Baskervilles was a particular favorite.

Hahaahha thts why i liked them, i think. And some christies have minor love stories or where one character gets to have a HEA

Synopsis: Stephen Leeds, AKA 'Legion,' is a man whose unique mental condition allows him to generate a multitude of personae: hallucinatory entities with a wide variety of personal characteristics and a vast array of highly specialized skills. As the story begins, Leeds and his 'aspects' are drawn into the search for the missing Balubal Razon, inventor of a camera whose astonishing properties could alter our understanding of human history and change the very structure of society.
This DJ can only play select old songs.. :P
Plus the blurb makes me scared to read this one. I was taken in by one PERTINENT SELLING POINT - the length of the book (rather, the lack of).

haan.. first line is catchy. My kind of book - with hallucinations and schizoid characters (NOT THAT I AM ONE, just that I love reading about suchlike :P)

Agreeing with Utkarsh, it's more sci-fi blended with psychology. I think Smitha won't be bored. :P
At 53%. I'm seriously hooked. :D

Great book, I must say. The schizophrenia concept is used remarkably. I am totally bowled over by Sanderson this time. :O
I have a doubt, though.
(view spoiler)

Lol, imagine that happening on-field. :P
It is wickedly ingenious .... (can't say ingeniously wicked). Relishing each sentence. Abhay, I owe you one, as without your reco I may never have read it. At 55% and boy, aren't I glad to have taken leave today.
Migraine, but nausea and vertigo element is more, so I can manage to read.
if anybody says, don read, take rest, I am sending Skylar with a gun to shoot them between their eyeballs,

he he, Polo, if I were the opening BM, it would have happened.(or At least one of my avtars would have).

It's fun to see how he channels his schizophrenia into something bizzarely positive and useful. There are many ways one could look into the story, but I think sci-fi suits it better than fantasy, owing to the fact that it's not entirely a make-believe life Steve leads but rather based on a scientific condition, though fictitious in practicality.

This book was an enjoyable hour long read (10 min yest and 50 non stop minutes today). More like a short novella. But no complaints. And am sure to read the series further.
And hope it wont fuel off my alter-egos, ashamed to say, all are equally mundane, and never appear together, they only can do so one after another. But no complaints. I would have gone mad if all appeared at the same time (pun intended. :P)

I like the way his hallucinations are attached emotionally to him. A different edge. One would obviously want to get rid of them, so as to lead a normal life. But Steve here doesn't seem to want that.
Btw, alter egos?

Yes, even I am hallucinating that his hallucinations and their hallucinations are real.
Alteregos - I keep on changing my names, and somehow my reading pattern gets influenced depending on who I am (not mad, dont worry)
