Lilia heard a boy's voice and jolted up. "Who are you and what am I doing here? My family, I have to go find my family."

"Harrison," Max replied.

Cal pushed her down again. "Woah there. Don't exert yourself. And your family has been taken care of."

"Harrison. Okay. I will see you around Harrison" Evangeline said smiling.

Lilia looked at him. "What is that suppose to mean? I want to see my family."

Max felt bad for lying to her, but he couldn't take the risk of ruining his mission.

"Hey. You can't go see your family. They're all fine" he said slightly annoyed.

Evangeline started walking away. "I'm Evangeline."

"No, they have to know that I'm okay. They left the lake without me, I have to tell them I'm okay," Lilia said not sensing his annoyance. She felt her reaction was perfectly normal. She sat up again , but felt a rush of nausea flow over her.

"Nice to meet you, Evangeline," Max said simply. He was investigating the murder of Winter and something about this girl seemed off.

He pushed her back down. Probably more forcefully then he meant to. "I'm sorry your parents and family don't remember you," he said simply.

"Nice to meet you too" she said quietly.

"Ouch," she whispered. "Why don't they remember me? What did you do?" she snapped weakly.

"Maybe we could meet again?" Max asked.

"Look." He said sternly. "I will explain everything but calm down,"

She nodded. "That would be nice." She came over and held out her hand. "Phone?"

Lilia shook her head. "You did something to me. What did you do? I'm not going to be calm because you did something to me." She felt like her reaction was completely normal.

"I don't have a phone." Max looked down slowly it wasn't a lie or anything. He didn't need a phone when his way of contact was through the his mind

Cal sighed. "Your family doesn't know who you are and now your invisible and some sort of form between life and death that controls the powers of winter, got that?"

Evangeline shrugged and pulled out a piece of papers a write something down on it. . "Alright. Well here is my phone number if you want it?"

Lilia shook her head. "You're crazy." She noticed a park ranger. She quickly got up to her feet and attempted to run, but failed as she collapsed on the cold winter ground. "Hello, please help my family," she yelled.

"I want it." He gave her a reassuring smile.

Cal watched somewhat saddened. The park ranger did not see them. Never would. He walked by and back by the trees. "You asked me to explain. I explained."

She smiled back and handed it to him.

"You killed me. You took my life away from me." Lilia knew this couldn't be true. "I have to get to my family." Tears started to run down her face, she had felt so many different things. It started to snow hard.

Max smiled then he noticed the snow. How was it snowing? Winter was dead.

Cal came over and sat in front of her "What's your name?"

Evangeline looked up and his her annoyance. "Snow…"

Lilia looked over at the stranger. "My name is Lilia," she whispered.

Max looked over and Evangeline. "Snow wasn't in the forecast today."

"Lilia," he said tested out the name. "I'm Cilligan. Call me Cal" he said holding out a hand.

Evangeline bit her tongue to keep from crying out in outrage. "No. It wasn't"

Lilia looked at Cal's hand. "You didn't have a right to do what you did to me. You can't just ruin someone's life." The snow started to come down harder she didn't even realize that she was causing this.

"The weather man obviously didn't know how to do his job right," Max replied calmly.

Cal glared at the ground "for your information. It your life for everyone else in the world. You were my last hope"

"No. Not like they ever do." She said sighing.

"I don't even know what you are talking about. You have no right to ruin my life to help you do whatever you want." Lilia felt really weak still. "Take me home I want to go home."

"I should be going before the storm gets any worse," Max said.

Cal was annoyed. He shouldn't do this but they might as well get it over with. "Fine. You want to go home?" He said angrily. He picked her up and flew across the lake.

She nodded. "Ill see you then?"

Lilia felt like she was going to puke. She closed her eyes tightly. "Please, just land already. I don't feel too well."

"Yes,you will," Max replied with a smile.

He landed in her front yard. "Oh so it's not insane that I'm Flying but being dead is?!"

"Good" she said.

Lilia felt queazy and closed her eyes tightly. "I don't feel well, whatever you did to me." Her body was still adjusting. "I don't feel like dealing a boy who has anger issues." She whispered weakly.

Max walked to his temporary apartment.

He put her down. "Open your eyes your on the ground"

Evangiline headed to her own house glaring at the snow.

"What did you do to me? Why did you have to ruin my life?" She was still angry, but Lilia didn't want to fight.

Max opened the door wondering if Evangeline had something to do with Winter's death because she didn't react to the snow well.

"What I did was save every one of these people on earth including your families." He said trying to convince her.

Evangeline closed his eyes trying to find the new winter.

Lilia sighed a little bit as it kept snowing. "What does that have anything to with me? I can't do anything special." She then noticed her sister walk out with a jacket and her boots on. "Why are you wearing a jacket and boots it's not cold?" She asked her sister, but she didn't even see her.

Max wondered who the new winter is.

Cal watched sadly. "It is cold. It's quite cold. But you don't feel it. Your making it snow"

She glared. It was a girl sobbing on the ground. "Well at least she'll be Easy to break" she commented quietly.

"It is not cold and I'm most definitely not making it snow." Lilia saw that her sister kept walking to get to the mail. "Mia don't you ignore me. I am your sister." Maybe Cal was right, but that didn't say was going stop trying.

I think I know who killed Winter. He echoed through his mind hoping that maybe Cal would hear him or the higher ups.

Cal sighed. "Watch. " he walked over to her sister…and walked straight through her as if he was a ghost. He heard Max's message. 'What? Who?' He thought back.

Evangeline sighed and went back outside to go clear her mind. It hurt when she saw things.

Lilia heard the voice in her head she jolted. "Cal I hear a voice in my head. That's not normal."




Some girl name Evangeline, I'm not 100% sure, but she reacted in a certain way when it started to snowing. Max thought in response.

He rolled his eyes. "Is any of this normal?" 'Alright. Thanks keep tabs on her will you?'

Evangeline walked around town trying to catch a glimpse of Max. He would be a nice distraction.

Lilia looked down. "Your world wasn't just turned upside down. So please just stop it with your sarcastic comments. You could be a little bit more sympathetic." The snow started to come down harder. A normal person would be freezing.

Planned on it Max thought hoping it would warm up some. Then he noticed it looked like a blizzard outside. He hoped Cal could help the new winter calm down and relax before he or she used to much power their first time and have their bodies go into over drive.

"How do you think I got here?" He said. His little flurry of warm air disappeared as the snow came down harder. "Calm down please. I'm sorry alright?" He said not wanting her to exert herself.

Evangeline frowned and stepped inside the nearest building shivering.

Lilia looked down not answering not thinking about him and how he probably came to be. She looked at him. "What does saving the world have to do with me?" Calming herself down. "I'm just tired and I want to go to my family. Can you make me feel better"


Max sighed as the weather started to calm down.

Cal started to warm himself up again. "I walked through your sister. Better save your family pain for later. I can make you feel better yes. But you'll have to come with me."

She headed back out in the snow glancing around.

Lilia sighed softly. "Okay," she whispered reluctantly. She tried to stand up, but her knees were still weak.

Max hoped that Evangeline was the person who killed Winter then she could pay for her crime and he could go home

Cal came over Amd gently picked her up but almost dropped her with how cold she was. He steadied himself and hovered above the ground.

Evangeline walked around town her hand in her pockets.

Lilia didn't realize yet that her body was freezing, it felt perfectly right to her, but the touch of Cal was like fire. "You're on fire. Are you feeling okay?" She didn't want to fully accept the situation.

Max walked out of his apartment hoping to find Evangeline to keep an eye on her.

"I'm fine." He said and gently flew to their safe house. He set her on the ground. "But for future refrence I will always be this temperature to you."

Evangeline stopped at a window showing jewelry and dresses. For a split Second she wished she could care for those types of things.

Lilia was relieved when she touched the snowy ground it wasn't cold to her. She frowned everything was starting to sink in. "I will never feel the warmth normally again" she whispered softly. "Is it safe for me to go in the house?"


Max noticed Evangeline looking through a window he quickly went invisible so she wouldn't notice him, unless if she killed Winter then she would see him as clear as day.

Cal nodded. "I have the heat off in your room. It'll be the Sam temperature as out here."

Evangeline wadNt paying attention and decided to go inside the store. Might as well but something nice to fit in.

Lilia nodded her head slowly. She was upset because everything she knew was gone in a blink of an eye. Her hand open the door and a blast of warm air hit her she jumped back and looked over at Cal.

Max followed her in the store and went to the winter coat section.

He rolled his eyes. "I said your room not the house." He said walking in.

She looked through the jewelry biting her lip between a bracelet and a necklace.

Lilia frowned and rushed to her new room. She plopped on the bed. She hoped that maybe Cal would be nicer to her, especially if she had to spend the rest of her life with him.

"The necklace looks good on you." Max said.

He stood in the doorway. "Better?"

Evangeline jumped slightly and turned around. She smiled. "You think?"

"Much," she whispered softly. Lilia curled into the bed and yawned.

"Yeah definitely," he said. "I was here getting a winter coat, due to the freak winter weather we are having"
