Yes. I enjoyed reading it very much but I couldn't help but notice all the flaws in this book. So, I decided to give it 2 stars.

Here is my reason and it's just my opinion...

(view spoiler)[Even though I finished the first book, I still don't know much about her country. Yes, Cass did tell us about the caste system (not in details) and the Selection ... but barely anything else. The story was confusing ... it kind of contradicts itself. I meant one chapter it told me one thing and the next two or three chapters it was just changed (without the story to support it). The characters were one dimension. (hide spoiler)] But despite all that, I still loved reading it.

The Selection completion:
This book was amazing. So glad I decided to re-read it for the second or third time :D The one thing that shocked me was that (view spoiler)[she already had a love at the start. I thought it would just be love at first sight with Maxon. (hide spoiler)] Glad it wasn't though, and that it was a gradual thing.
Why's there always that girl that's been created for readers to hate *cough cough* Celeste. She just annoys me no end. So selfish. And the way she (view spoiler)[ripped America's dress, and spilt wine on Kriss's dress! (hide spoiler)] And there was a time when I disliked Maxon, for (view spoiler)[standing up for Celeste and not agreeing with America. (hide spoiler)] But bleh, I'm glad I re-read this one.

Finished The Elite: Okay, so I have multiple opinions about this book. Yes, I liked it, but did I like the characters? Don't read spoiler if you haven't read this book.
(view spoiler)[Maxon: Yes, adore him as per usual. He's probably my dream book boyfriend, I just love him so much.
America: No, she can go die. Way too selfish and pathetic and petty and just so self-centered and bleh.
Aspen: Still feel like he's not serious about America.
Celeste: Typical, but glad she didn't annoy me as much in this book
Kriss: I really like her
King Clarkson: Can't believe he beats Maxon! That's disgusting! Don't want to think what Queen Amberly's going through!
Marlee: I'm kind of glad she was able to finally be open about her relationship. Kind of similar with Aspen and America in a way. I can't believe that straight after they got caught, Aspen wanted to meet America. How foolish! (hide spoiler)]
Don't really have enough time/space/energy/emotion to rage about America right now, but just know that I really do not like her. Yes, I like her backbone and her pride, but I don't like her underlying distrust. And her freaking indecisiveness! She can't make up her mind!!! (view spoiler)[Oh, I love Aspen. He's always so stable and he'll always be here for me. But wait, now I like Maxon because he spoke to me. He's the one for me. But wait Aspen winked at me! I love him! (hide spoiler)] Just make up your [insert choice word here] mind woman!! So frustrating. I'm glad I finally got around to this book, and it was a quick read. Can't wait to read the rest of the series, although no doubt America will annoy me some more. I'll just have to bear it.

Finished! Review: This one was a rather emotional ride, I'll say that. First of all (view spoiler)[Celeste died :( I'm really glad she let go of her mean side and opened up. I saw it coming, but still glad it happened :) And so did Amberly and Clarkson and America's dad and Anne. So many people died! :( (hide spoiler)] Secondly, I thought that (view spoiler)[Maxon was going to die, and that he definitely wasn't going to choose America after he caught her with Aspen! That was such a close call. (hide spoiler)] That must've been so awkward for America when (view spoiler)[Aspen walked in on her and Maxon in bed. (hide spoiler)] But legit, the ending was perfect. I mean, exactly the way to describe (view spoiler)[a wedding. (hide spoiler)] And I loved Maxon's (view spoiler)[love letters. (hide spoiler)] They were seriously adorable. This book was seriously chock-full of stuffs!

And I just hate Eadlyn so much, her attitude is horrible, and just the way that she can't believe when people call her selfish, which she totally is! I'm glad Ahren went and did that. Serves Eadlyn right. (hide spoiler)]

Review: AWESOME! I have no idea why people think this isn't as good as the first 3! If anything, it might even have been better! It was in no way worse. It was just as unputdownable as the rest of the series. I like the fact that this Selection was with guys rather than girls. I way prefer reading about guys' emotions than girls, I guess because it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy when they open up. And that's what made this book so awesome: the warm fuzzies! I really dislike Eadlyn, but I do really like her name. She's so spoilt and self-centered and defiant. (view spoiler)[And the first elimination was sooo harsh! She acted like she didn't give a stuff, when she was actually thinking that her parents would be happy for the way she went about it. Ugh! (hide spoiler)] I like the way each of the boys gives her something new, like she has a different connection with each one. I'm rooting for (view spoiler)[Henri or Erik (hide spoiler)] I think. (view spoiler)[I think Kile's just way too predictable. (hide spoiler)] I like the way (view spoiler)[Henri's so open because that's the only way he can show his emotions: through his facial features and actions. It would be incredibly hard for him to even attempt to go through with it! (hide spoiler)] And just (view spoiler)[Erik because he comforts Eadlyn and they have a connection. I think he was the only true contender for the exact reason being that he was never really a contender. She didn't need to watch herself around him, and he wasn't always dressed up for her.
