SOLVED. Middle grade book about a family living in a tree house? [s]

Hi! A while back (maybe 2012?) I read a middle grade book about a family that lived in a tree house behind a relatives house. I believe it was the MC's grandmother's house, but I'm not positive. The MC was a tween/teenage girl. I think the family had to move into the tree house because they were very poor, and the grandmother wouldn't let them live in the house or something like that. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense! Thanks :)
